I don’t eat fish much.However, Eat Fish managed to give me the best fish and chips experience so far. I ordered grilled whiting and rockling fillets. The taste and freshness exceeded all my expectations. Ali was very friendly and informative behind the counter. Keep up the good work mate! 👍🏻Definitely recommend and will be back for more!😋

Great experience and best Fish and Chips in Local Area Ashburton. Came here tonight with my friends for Fish and Chips takeaway and the Grilled Rockling and Barramundi was so delicious also the proportion and quality of food was amazing. The chips were nice and crispy and weren’t soggy or dry and the oil used is clean. Very Friendly staff members and great service. Good on you Guys will Recommend all local and everyone and will be back again. Cheers

Eat Fish has been our go to local fish and chip shop for many years however the last couple of times the quality of the food and service has gone down hill significantly. There is always something missing from our order, we call to let the staff know and they say they will add the missing item when we next order again. We won’t be ordering again. Todays Fisherman’s Basket order ($35) was missing the king prawn and you don’t even get a wedge of lemon anymore. There are lots of better local options.

Best fish and chips in town! This fish and chip shop has a fresh and wide variety of fish and seafood. You can buy fresh seafood or get it cooked in the store with a decent amount of seating. We had Grilled Salmon, Grilled Prawns, Salt & Pepper Squid, Potato Chips, Sweet Potato Fries and Greek Salad. Everything was made fresh and tasted amazing. The Salmon was perfectly cooked and the Prawns were yummy. Squids were tender and juicy! Do give them a visit, if you love seafood! 🤩

This is a well known fish and chips joint in Ashburton that sells a wide range of fresh fish and seafood. You can buy the seafood fresh to cook yourself at home, or have them cook it for you to eat in or takeaway. I had read a lot of recent mixed reviews, so I was a bit worried, but I really enjoyed my meal here! You could tell that the seafood was very fresh, especially the prawns which were nice, plump and firm. Highly recommend the prawn skewers! The batter for the fish was thin and crispy and the chips were crunchy and well cooked. The burger I had was massive, and the beef patty was thick and juicy.

- Fried King George Whiting w/ Chips $15.9 - Fried Snapper w/ Chips $15.9 - Grilled Squid w/ Asian Garlic Ginger Sauce $9.9 - Prawn Skewer w/ Garlic Sauce $8.9 I enjoyed the snapper, it was fresh and crispy. However, there were heaps of small bones in the King George whiting which really annoyed me. The prawn skewer was alright but the char grilled squid was so bland with merely no charred flavour. Portion size was slightly small at this price range. Overall, overpriced and average fish & chips.

Eat fish Ashbourton is a well known fish and chips joint that has been popping up all over my social media so I couldn’t wait to give it a try. The shop sells a wide range of fresh seafood that you can either take home or eat there. I chose the two below dishes and found them both to be so yum, especially the wrap. The cocktail sauce was what differentiated it from everything else! The seafood here was fresh and cooked perfectly. I love how the fish batter was crispy, thin and not oily at all.
