Captain Chicken

The shop has changed names a couple of times in recent years; Oceans and Ascot Park Takeaway. Seems to be frequent changes in staff, almost always see different ones every visit. Until recently had the BEST chips, however the last couple of times I've been there they have been very ordinary. Staff are mostly friendly and there are a good range of takeaways available. Prices are reasonable. Shop is spacious and is always clean. Please bring back the delicious chips !

Always great chicken and chips but you gotta try the Yiros! its home made and the best in Adelaide. Although the new owner has had a bit of a rocky start they seem to be settling in really well. They still need some work on the wait times (it can be a bit disorganized when they're busy) however it just goes to show that by focusing on buying premium grade produce and caring about the quality and price of what you are selling everything else will get there. Well done Terry and the Captain Chicken Chicks! - we will be back

Had the chicken AB - big portion in a shoe sized cardboard box! The chicken was pretty good, lots of big bbq chunks of meat which was a nice change from typical Yiros meat. The chips it came with were nice, crispy and fresh but a bit too much tomato sauce and went a bit overboard with it. Would have preferred more garlic sauce and tabuli. Overall not bad for around $13. Staff were very friendly and looked happy, store is nice but could use more seating. It was quite busy too, but wait time was good!

No respect for customer feedback. Bought an AB pack today as I used to every now and then. What I got today was nothing like it should be. Chips were good but not much meat and the chicken was in huge chunks, asked for 3 different sauces got almost no sauce on it which made it dry.. paid extra for cheese and didn't get any. Managers response was "yeah must've been a different person that made it. Next time we'll do it better" said in a tone that meant I don't care what you have to say..

Burgers and Yiros are delicious, Hot chips here are great, thick cut and cooked perfectly, gravy is great too. Fish is acceptable, nothing amazing though. Salads always look fresh, store is always clean. The one thing that needs work is the Chicken parmi, whatever sauce they are using is really nasty, and always has a funny taste, dissapointing as its a good value special.

$12. Lamb gristle yiros.... not what I had ordered. One piece of gristle maybe but four mouthfuls... no thank you. No point tell him, he'll just say sorry like he did when my Mum & me got sick on the fish. He didn't do anything about it...??? I had enough. Going to walk further to the other shop where it's cheaper & better. They were good at the start but now.....! Sorry! you had your chance.

feedback to the owner; having a chips and gravy pack without giving the customers the option to have gravy on the side rather than pay for the chips and gravy separately (DOUBLE the price) is ridiculous. please consider a small charge upon request as some prefer on the side. remember ‘customer satisfaction is key’. i suggest reconsidering your pack prices and ‘rules’.
