Tropical Smoothie Cafe

Three times in a row now I have tried ordering during business hours only to have the business be closed. This last one was likely the final straw. The shop said "open" on DoorDash and it was only 12:30pm. Their hours are 10am-5pm. In the middle of the order and as I went to the checkout, suddenly it said no delivery hours were available and that it was closed. That is now three times in a row for me with this shop being closed well before the posted closing hours. The sad part is that this restaurant suffers so much with its lack of reliability that I can't really give a higher rating than a 2. The food and smoothies are pretty amazing. I'm a big fan of the quesadillas and fruit-based smoothies with some protein powder and multivitamin add-ins. I'd recommend that people try them out, if you ever find them open. I already went to their website and put in my review as well since that seems to be the canned message they are floating around on here. Edit: Two weeks later, see they are open again. Order via doordash. The moment I make my order, it gets canceled and then listed as temporarily closed. Lost my business at this point.

Went into store about 11am April 13th 2021 & no one was at the counter so we rang the bell and after he came up we were just taking a few moments to figure out what we wanted and he was making disrespectful comments under his breath about how we were taking too long. There was no one else in line at the time. So the guy I was with mentioned to the employee that we don’t need comments like that we just want good customer service & the employee replied by rudely telling us to get out of the store and that our service wasn’t needed. Will not be returning. Do NOT go there if you want good customer service.

Ordered on 5/13/2021 for a 10:15am pickup. Store was not even open with no signs of opening anytime soon even though google hours of operation said 10am opening and storefront said 7am. Employee that showed up at 10:20 said "We open at 11 cancel your order I guess." Very rude and unprofessional. Will not be back in the future. Edit: have filled out their contact form but have not heard back and have not received a refund.

My fav place in town. We go in on a friday at 3pm and the lights are on and doors closed. The sign outside door says friday 7am-7pm. I called "Jason" answered phone n i asked if theyre open hes response was the gates would be up if we were open. As we proceed outside to return to the car Jason follows us n i ask y theyre closed if sign says not till 7pm?....he was extremely rude n said he didnt need to answer...i told him id leave a bad review n his response was go ahead i run this place....r u kidding me??? Never will i return

I work for a nearby restaurant, so for our lunch break myself, our managers, and several other employees got a rather large online to-go order costing about $67 on 5/30. One of the managers had put it on her debit card. Prior to ordering, we had checked to confirm it was open as well as the city center plaza was open and it was. Once I arrived to pick up the food it was all closed up and no signs posted, yet the website listed open and the online ordering was up and running and had already processed the payment. So $67 and no food. We called the local restaurant just to see if anyone would pick up and obviously no one did. So we immediately called the corporate number and they took down all her information, but had advised her to call the store on the following business day since they are unable to process a refund there. Today (6/1) rolls around she calls the store to be greeted by a bratty teenage girl and an even worse manager who told the girl to tell her that he was not in yet and that it was not possible to process a refund or to temporarily shut down online ordering, but she could make the food for us now. We work at restaurant, we know damn well that is a lie. 4 calls later and still nothing. I highly recommend never placing an online order because this business isn’t ever open according to their hours but will gladly accept your order and payment when no one is even there.

They are always closed. Rude employees and they are always closed by 430 pm get some new managers and more employees!!!! :(:( and employees that aren't rude how does the owner make any money when it's closed pretty much all the time and only open til 430 pm and always closed on Saturdays seriously, or what it needs is new OWNERS!!!! because the current OWNER doesn't care about its customers

A fair bit overpriced, but maybe just because I’m poor LOL! Delicious smoothies — was a lot less sweet than I was expecting, and personally, I think that’s a great thing. The size of the cups is very generous. To top it all off, the man serving my partner and I was very kind, funny, and engaging. Wonderful staff, wonderful smoothies, and a comfy atmosphere. Would recommend!

Rating is based on the fact that no one is ever there. Either shut this place down and let another business actually run, or adjust hours to even less than they already are. This feedback is already on your site survey. This was my favorite place and I've introduced many, but im giving up on you. Poor management.
