The Red Bean

This place is great! Air conditioning was on blast yesterday, which I appreciated. Clean bathroom for customers. There is even a fantastic little selection of nondairy ice creams, which I *think* are a plain coconut base, swirled with whatever flavor you would like. My partner had peanut butter and I chose cinnamon dark chocolate chili. It had a little kick to the end of it. We also enjoyed chilled rosemary infused lemonade—we wanted to try the honey lavender lemonade but they were out as of yesterday. There are gifts and local art lining the walls. We will be back!

The person working the counter was very nice and provided prompt service. The atmosphere is quaint but more so ice cream parlor than coffee shop. It’s basically soft serve made to order with vanilla or chocolate ice cream and your choice of mix-ins. If you’re looking for ice cream by the scoop/cone then this is not for you. It was pricy but the serving size was appropriate for the money. Did not try the coffee. IMO best ice cream in Annapolis. Will most definitely be back!

I love this shoppe! The artsy aesthetic welcomes you in from the historic downtown ambiance. The owner (Sue) and staff are pleasant, hard working, and greet you with a smile. You can taste the quality and pride of this establishment in every cup of coffee. The ice cream will meet you where your imagination begins and have you return for another experience. It's a great space to chill and catch up with a friend or work on a project in the corner surrounded by good music. Whether a cup of coffee and conversation, ice cream to close out a fantastic evening with someone special, or just to stop in say hi to the cafe canine, the Red Bean delivers.

The BEST ice cream I've had, I think EVER...and I'm not even an ice cream person! Great friendly service in a lovely little spot in Annapolis! I would go back to this place just for the ice cream! Super creamy and they take the flavors and actually blend it into the ice cream. I've never had ice cream like that! Portions are huge and the cones are freshly made in house.
