China Buffet

Was expecting less based off the reviews I read but was actually impressed. A lot of things were better then they are at the more expensive buffet we go to, most things were hot and fresh even as close to closing as we went. The selection was smaller than some but not bad, particularly given the low price with so many prices going sky high everywhere.

This is obviously not the best buffet I have had before. It has limited selection and relatively small in size. However, I rate it 5 stars considering the following facts. First, the taste is actually not bad, some are even better than more expensive buffet. Second, the price is reasonable. Many restaurants raised their prices after COVID. This one has lowest price hikes compared to other Chinese buffet. They seem to be dedicated to their business in a small town setting. They received the community service awards as well. Considering the food/price ratio, I think they are good. They have been in business for a long time and I hope they will continue for a long time. For the only China buffet in Alma it is an acceptable place with decent pricing for what you get. A variety of chicken in sauce dishes which are good and staples like crab Rangoon. They have some special dishes like Chinese Meatballs which are pretty good and have a variety of shrimp available for dinner. Decent atmosphere, not too crowded and easy to find. Cost is around $11 for one at dinner for all you can eat which is fair considering a combo meal at McDonald's would run the same price. If you're not running to Mt. Pleasant for greater selection this place is perfectly acceptable to get your buffet fix.
