Boss Burger

I ordered a simple cheese burger. It was great. It had a good balance of toppings and sauce. The fries were nice and crispy, and they give you a pretty good portion for the small. The sweet potato fries I tried off my friends plate were really excellent too, a bit on the sweeter side. We mostly chose this place because of its soft serve options, which was really good, creamy. Overall really liked it, would be nice if they would bring the food to your table if you’re eating in, but did not really detract from the experience.

I tried calling a few times to place an order but they didn't pick up so I ordered online. Should have checked everything before leaving the restaurant. My fries and boss sauce were missing, and the ranch looked half eaten. The onion rings are definitely not beer battered. They are frozen onion rings that you just heat up. Burger was decent, but I don't think it was cooked on the grill... Won't be going back here.

Walked in today inquiring about any meat alternative burgers and was legitimately shooed away like I was a vagrant by none other than the OWNER HIMSELF. Completely uncalled for. When I told him "please don't tell me you own this place and that is your response to a customer that has brought in his family over 50 times" - Knowing he is the owner he thought it would be funny pretend like he was a worker and then said "oh please don't fire me, then I will have to sell my home in Marin and my BMW" (this actually happened today) Floored.

I've given Boss several chances since it seems to be a popular place, but I'm done. Both the regular and spicy sauces are unique and good, but sauce cannot save a dry, grey, under-seasoned burger patty. They are not turning up the heat high enough to get a good crust so the outside looks like it's been microwaved: grey and wet-looking. Both the regular and sweet potato fries were chewy and sad, not as crispy as they should be. Sorry Boss, if I'm spending $14 on a burger I need it to be better.
