Dream Cafe

My husband and I are visiting in the area and first chose this cafe because it had veggie choices. We have eaten lunch and breakfast at this place. For lunch we had the tofu stir-fry. The veggies were crispy, the sauce was tasty and the tofu had a great smoky taste. We also had the hummus appetizer with pita bread which we loved. For breakfast we had an omelet, oatmeal, and bagel with cream cheese. Everything was yummy and the strawberry butter was a great surprise.

I actually went here because I knew they had a "playground" aka a few tires, chalkboard and a jungle gym. Pretty terrible, but at least my toddler didn't mind. The waiter was also terrible, and didn't bring me a menu for 10-15 minutes after sitting down, then forgot an extra plate. We had a second waiter who was fairly attentive and he did a good job waiting on me. I ordered the tofu stir fry and the portion was small, vegetables and the rice wasn't cooked all the way. The sauce was very runny and overall didn't have much flavor. The outside area was dirty with cigarette butts and trash :( I'm really sad this place didn't work out for us.

Routh St Club: I'm not quite sure what the name of this sandwich represents, but it's a good sandwich. It's got smoked turkey, Swiss cheese, tomato, bacon, avocado, lettuce and russian dressing. It tasted awesome! The bacon was cooked very well! It wasn't soggy or too crisp! The only complaint was that both my avocado pieces where on one side and I didn't notice till I ate the other part. I just thought they really liked to give you avocado. :)

Decided to go for brunch after reading all the great reviews. It was interesting. We got there about 12:30pm on a Sunday and were seated right away. The food was good although I wish I had ordered one of their specialties instead of the eggs (my mistake). My husband had the spinach and eggs Benedict and was very happy with his food. My son ordered the chicken and waffles and declared it the best he's ever had. He was also happy with the tropical smoothie. We also ordered the popovers - I was disappointed that they were cold. I am used to eating warm/hot popovers. I was glad I ordered a latte as the drink tasted much, much better than their house coffee. Will definitely visit again and try the granola French toast.

First time at this location since I was a kid. Very friendly service and the manager checked on us twice; our waitress was very attentive and checked on us several times. As for the less-positive, my poached eggs were somewhat overcooked. Most else was good. I asked for a side of sautéed vegetables, but they said they couldn't do that, so I ate them raw. Not sure why they couldn't fry up a few veggies for me. Otherwise, not too bad. Would probably recommend another diner if you're feeling breakfast food. Probably Maple Leaf Diner.

Found this place because we wanted brunch and our original was a 45 min wait. Staff is super friendly and very casual. Food was great. I got the Elvis with is biscuits and gravy on crack and ate the whole thing. Had to wait for the popover to be made, but it's worth the wait for sure. Great atmosphere and food, definitely a comeback for sure.
