Long Yin is great. We (group of 5) visited yesterday and were seated in a nice round table. Order included chicken corn soup, spring rolls, mongolian beef, tenderloin in XO sauce, chicken in ginger and garlic, tofu, and broccoli in garlic sauce along with veg noodles and steamed rice. The taste of every plate was great, absolutely no complaints. The supervisor/manager was very kind and friendly (sorry I didn't get your name) as well as the waiters gave us exceptional attention. Thanks to the team at Long Yin for making our experience memorable.

Perfect food, ridiculously good, I could eat here every week. Every dish is incredibly good, I really enjoyed the food and the service is also excellent. Make sure to order the egg fried rice.

This is a restaurant which is high on experience and knows what they are doing. Had impeccable service and excellent food. Crispy duck, aromatic chicken, stir fries were all terrific. Add to that the service - had fresh food within 10 minutes as I was in a hurry to get to the airport.<br/><br/>Oh and don't forget to try the chilli oil. It's the best we have had!

Been here for a dinner with a close friend. We started with a Chinese beer called Tsingtao, which was pleasant and well balanced. Followed by chicken and prawns dumplings. They were well flavored and steamed to perfection. Main course was rice noodles and amazing schezwan gravy. Nice balance of veggies and proteins. <br/><br/>Even though it is considered as a casual dining restaurant, it gave us a fine dining feeling. <br/><br/>Special thanks to the courteous staff who served us with a smile and the chef behind the scenes for cooking us a scrumptious dinner. We went on a Friday night and the place was quiet and sort of empty. The ambience was nice and the service was quick. <br/>We ordered veg and chicken dimsums, steamed rice, chicken corn soup, a chicken appetizer, a chicken main dish and a vegetarian main dish. <br/>The non vegetarian dishes were really good. I enjoyed it. But the vegetarian ones didn’t really meet up to the mark.<br/>Overall the place is good for family dinners.<br/>Also, you can use your Citibank credit card and get 20% off the bill.

Consistently good Chinese cuisine set in a conservatively decorated dining room. The menu offers everything, from dim sum to roast pork to steamed hammour. I have been here several times and eaten my way across a good chunk of the menu. Everything I have tried has been good to very good, with the exception of last night’s roast pork belly with black vinegar: it was bone dry, probably deep-fried from frozen given the apparent freezer burn, a pity as everything else was on-point.<br/><br/>Generally, dishes are plated respectfully and service is attentive, but not intrusive. The restaurant has a variety of lunch time offers, particularly on the weekend. The elegant dining environment makes this a versatile place for a business dinner, birthday party or romantic tête-à-tête.

I personally loved the all-you-can-eat dim sum offer. Dim sum cravings satisfied! For me it's a good deal if you're a dim sum lover like I am! The dim sum is made fresh when you order, so be prepared to wait for a while for your dim sum to be served. For 119 AED per person, you can indulge in unlimited dim sum, with choices of soup, noodles, rice, and drinks!

I am a huge fan of Chinese food and jump at every opportunity I get to eating this cuisine! I dined here just last Saturday to try their All-You-Can-Eat Dim Sum, which they call the "Keep 'em Coming" (how cute is that name?). The low price of AED119 per diner had me skeptical (as these kinds of hotel-restaurant offers are usually way above the AED 150 price point), but I decided to give it a try anyways.<br/><br/>I dined here with my sister and her husband (third wheel, I know). We were all super hungry so ofcorse, we over-ordered. Along with the Dim-Sum offer, we ordered a whole bunch of appetizers, noodles, rice, beef, chicken, prawns; you name it, we ordered it!<br/><br/>The food came quite fast and it tasted extremely delicious! For the dim sum, since we were three people, we got to try both options, the fried dim-sum and the steamed dim-sum (you choose, one or the other for AED 119). As much as I loved the fried one, I personally prefered the steamed dim-sum options. You get 3 pieces of each dim-sum, which you can ask for more once finishing. I like the fact that even though it's somehow a buffet with the all-you-can-eat concept, they serve your food to the table. Keeping Long Yin's fine-dining experience authentic and professional.<br/><br/>Speaking of service, our server, Yaqoub, was GREAT! One of the best servers I've had the privilege of being served by! He was super friendly, helpful (with all the silly questions I had), quick to attend to any requests, and just overall GREAT. If (and when) you dine at Long Yin, try to get Yaqoub to serve you, he truly was incredible!<br/><br/>Overall, I highly recommend Long Yin. This review is based solely on my experience on Saturday for their all you can eat Dim Sum promotion. I love dim sum and would try any restaurant that gets recommended to me by a friend or even a magazine. I was really excited to try Long Yin as I’ve heard their food is incredible so I expected the sushi to be as good. Let’s start off with their poor service! We sat down and waited endlessly for the waitress to come around and ask us if we wanted to order anything and when she wouldn’t come around, I called her and asked for menus! We ordered a bottle of wine which took 20 minutes to arrive to our table and our guests were joking around that they’ve flown a bottle from France just for us and we had to wait for it because it’s in mid flight.. we’d order tea and water and it would take 10 or 15 minutes to get it when really the restaurant had busy 5 tables! The food arrived in intervals which is understandable when it’s dim sum but boy did it take long to get our order in! As for the quality of the food, it was very average and when I dine at a 5 star hotel, I expect the food to be above average if not excellent! I won’t bother reviewing everything we ordered because I can easily group them all into one word and that is “disappointing”. As for the selection, it was even more disappointing as there were some popular dim sum choices that were not on offer. Bbq chicken bun was missing, prawn har gao was also missing and instead they had beef sui mai and red bean bun.. if you’re looking for a good all you can eat dim sum deal in Dubai then check out Long Teng in business bay and don’t waste your time here!

This was my 2nd visit. I ordered Cream of Chicken Corn Soup, which was thick & sweet and portion size was small. Kong Po Style Stir Fried Diced Chicken was very tasty & so was Minced Chicken with Eggplant & Salted Fish, which I tried for the first time. Deep Fried Prawn with Chilly (Peking Style) was really amazing. <br/>Their Yong Chow style Fried Rice with Chicken & Shrimps was better than Fried Noodles with Diced Chicken & Vegetables. Noodles were way to thin & hardly fried. Huge chunks of fried cubed chicken thrown in did not gel well with the dish. <br/>The Mango Pudding could have been much better. <br/>Service was Lukewarm, sluggish. They mixed up the soup between people. We had to call them to serve the food. Overall experience was better on previous visit.

Tonight I visited the place for the 3rd time. Like my previous visits, I enjoyed the food. I consider Long Yin as one of the best Chinese restos in Dubai. (To be honest, I love all the restos in Le Meridien). They offer great selection of dimsum and other chinese food. There will definitely be a 4th, 5th, 6th...visit to this place.<br/><br/>What complements the great food are the awesome service of staff members (Mr. Aproniano and their intern, Margot) and the awesome ambience of the place.

Surprised I've visited long yin for over 6 years at least over 30 times and never reviewed it! This restaurant has been around for while and has a loyal customer following. The food quality hasn't changed over the years although I would love a bit of a change or addition on the menu side.<br/><br/>Nearly all my previous experiences at the restaurant have been pleasant, I was disappointed on my most recent visit on 2 reasons, a) no tofu available at all, b) service was overlooked.<br/><br/>Food:<br/><br/>Mushroom veg dimsum and Vegetarian steamed bun are excellent, perfectly steamed.<br/><br/>Lettuce wraps vegetarian - excellent but some lettuce pieces were not for wrapping. No hoisin served till asked<br/><br/>Already a bit disappointed that no "protein for a vegetarian" (tofu) is available I ended up ordering...<br/><br/>Schezwan vegetables - excellent sauce, perfectly spiced, nothing overdone. Extra sauce would be more satisfying!<br/><br/>Bai Ling mushroom - mushrooms sliced flat and which I have never tasted before, dry gravy but a medley of textures in the dish, quite nice! Although I wouldn't recommend it as a compliment to Rice or noodles, better eaten individually.<br/><br/>Fried rice and noodles are amazing!<br/><br/>Overall I can't be disappointed with long yin, my recent experience was a bit disappointing but I always end up overlooking it and going back again. With 20% Enbd, you end up with aed 100 per head for a vegetarian meal.<br/><br/>

Long Yin, just like Le Meridien in which it is located, is one of the longest standing 5 star restaurants in town. Recently revamped, the restaurant has turned into a classy and unorthodox affair.<br/>I liked the understated ambience. The service was as prompt as ever and great food.<br/>Long Yin provides for a great dining experience. It may not be the most reasonably prices but the food is worth every bit. The selection of Dim Sums is especially good. Whether you're a seafood lover or a meat lover, there's something to cater to everyone's taste!

This one was a great find through the zomato search option. I was heading back home with my baby and a hungry, grumbling tummy. Spontaneously, I called up the husband and requested we grab some nice dinner and that I really wanted Chinese food- he let me search and suggest and that's how I landed on this choice. <br/><br/>We waited for 10 mins to be seated and got a comfortable seat near the entrance- the decor is warm and the servers hospitable. We ordered the wasabi prawns and prawns on toast for starters- both fabulous and freshly served! <br/><br/>Our mains included the King Po chicken, crispy beef, regular vegetable fried rice and the vegetable noodles. Each item on our table was very tasty- we probably will skip the noodles next time because they were lacking taste of all the dishes we tasted. <br/><br/>Definitely coming back here again and double thumbs up from my side!

Almost 5/5 just finished dining here , good choices of Chines cuisine, I loved everything from the appetizers to the desert. Consists of the best Szechwan and Cantonese. <br/>We had Pan-fried chicken bun , prawn in toast with sesame seeds and deep fried chicken spring rolls. <br/>I liked the menu options they have given in the form of sets: dragon set, sheep set and business set lunch.<br/>We had the dragon set which cost 185/- AED per person.<br/>It consists of soup, 2 starters, 3 main dishes, choice of rice and noodles and a desert. <br/>The ambiance was amazing as well.

If you are a fan of dimsums like me and like to eat real food and not gas bombs, you've to try Long Yin at your earliest if you have't already. <br/><br/>So I went for dinner on a weekday, and the place was pretty full, I loved the gold embossed dragon plates, since I had no professional camera, I couldn't capture the interiors appropriately for you guys, but I promise to do so, next time I go for their Friday promotion, now its a dimly lit pretty place, to eat authentic chinese food, we started with soup i had a sweet corn and Syed had a hot and sour, both soups, were perfect and finished in a jiffy, we also had prawn crackers that we dung into our soups :) salt n pepper fried chicken, this dish as simple as it sounds if not done right, resembles rubber but of course that wasn't the case at Long Yin, the chicken was soft from inside, lightly battered and served hot, we tried their very famous wasabi prawn dumplings, which one portion wasn't enough, these were so good you can't stop eating once you start, we also tried a few dimsums, on the server's recommendations and found them all, moist and steamed to perfection, we kept talking how we want to come back here and why on earth haven't we been <br/>here already during our meal continuously.<br/>The main course, we had a simple order, the beef tenderloin, tiger prawns and flat noodles, everything was so real in flavor, the aroma of the sauce the prawns were tossed in sinked into my mouth and the beef was cooked moist from the inside crisp from the outside, and noodles oh well the noodles finished in a fraction of seconds... The portions are pretty decent for a fine dinning place... and so are the prices.... They offer set menus, for twos or more on sharing basis and do also have a business lunch deal.... <br/><br/>Deserts, were on the server's recommendation and we had ginger topped tiramisu and slice of this amazing chocolate patisserie with some green tea to gulp<br/> down the food... <br/>Overhaul, it is a to go place, and has plenty of pretty outdoor seating perfect for this weather or casual dining, and an excellent interior area for a more<br/><br/>intimate ,fine dining experience.

Thats a BIG NO.<br/><br/>The portions are so small for what you pay that its actually a joke. They need to at least increase the portion by 50% to make it worth while. The only way for them to charge these kind of prices is if they are in a 5* hotel, which they are, or be in DIFC.<br/><br/>FYI readers you can go eat the same stuff in international city for much less and the portion sizes will be easily double.

We had prawn toast and the siomai for starters. The prawn toast was delicious. For the mains, we had their fried rice packed full of flavour and three varieties of meat dishes: duck, chicken and beef. The chicken with the sweet & tangy flavour AND the beef with mushrooms was amazing!!!! We finished the meal off with their chilled mango pudding served with whipped cream and mango sauce..heaven!

After a long time I tasted a proper Chinese foods here. While visiting this place I started with a veg tofu soup. It has awesome taste of greens and tofu, it a perfect soup to set your appetite. Next I ordered aromatic jasmine tea , again a zippy serve. Then we proceeded with few varieties of dimsums. All we completely so Chinese with combinations of chives,chicken,vegetables. It went so good with dips like sweet sauce, spicy sauce and sweet pickled vegetables. For main course we ordered all time favorite chicken fried rice and steam fish salad.<br/>All tasted awesome with its own flavours and tinge. <br/>I would like to give a special mention to caramelized walnut served as a compliment. It was crisp and the sesame seeds added a new version snacks with walnut.<br/>Overall I loved this place to treat my taste senses with pure Chinese flavors.

located near the Airport inside of Le Meridian Hotel, I used to be a regular visitor to this restaurant once every couple of weeks then I moved away, I came back and after maybe 3 years visited this restaurant again, the décor has changed and its nice, nice ambiance. the walnuts are still available and are still awesome. dim sums were nice, Vietnamese beef, pancake duck and fried rice. absolutely amazing. will be visiting again.

After 10 years living in China I admit that I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to Chinese food. Also, for the sake of disclosure, I've not been to Long Yin's shop, so I can't comment on their ambience or service. The food was ok, and had it been even remotely reasonably priced my review might be a bit more kind. For me however, to charge 62 AED (111 RMB!!!) for 3 bloody spring rolls cut in half is criminal. The gongbao jiding was tasty, but the potion was quite small for the price. Perhaps the dine-in experience is worth their frankly outrageous prices, but I will NEVER order delivery from them again.

This is my first review in Zomato, and very pleased it is of a very good experience we had in LONG YIN.<br/><br/>We came here for lunch on Saturday afternoon on a reservation (it is recommended to reserve a table). The place was not busy when we came here at quarter to 1 pm. But by the time we left it was packed with people.<br/><br/>The staffs here was very courteous and inviting and made us really comfortable and helped us with the menu as well.<br/><br/>We ordered 2 drinks - Virgin Green Apple Mojito & Lime and Mint Cooler. Both were really nice.<br/><br/>For soups we ordered - Chicken Cream of Corn Soup & Chicken Hot and Sour Soup. They were tasty and perfect. The portion is just perfect for 1 person and cannot be shared by 2.<br/><br/>For Appetizers we ordered - Deep Fried Chicken Wontons & Chicken Floss Rolls.<br/>The wontons were just perfect. Crispy on the outside and soft and juicy inside.<br/><br/>For Main Course we ordered - Kong Po Style Stir Fried Diced Chicken, Fried Noodles with Diced Chicken and Vegetables & Schezwan Fried Rice with Chicken.<br/><br/>The portion of main course is really good enough for 2 person and had to work hard to finish what we ordered.<br/><br/>The staffs were really nice and helpful. They gave us the menu and also explained to us about the dishes. They always had an eye on every guests to make things were all in place and nothing was short like refilling the water as soon as the glasses were empty.<br/><br/>Overall it was a good experience and nice place to visit. However it is on an expensive side and would be good visit for special occasions.

This resturant is the best chines restaurant in Dubai the food is always fresh tasty. It considered as a luxury restaurant thats why the price is high a bit but it deserves every dirhams. For the guys who comments on a coupon or want other chines stuff its unfair to rate it low because of silly things not going to the taste and food it self.

I had a few coupons from Cobone for this restaurant so I came here with my siblings. I absolutely love dim sums so when I saw this offer for all you can eat dim sums I was really looking forward to it. I used to come here with my family for dinner quite often, but this was a couple of years ago. Since then I must say the quality of this restaurant has really gone down. The ambience has really lost its charm and the service is horrible. <br/><br/>Getting a table at this restaurant was really not an issue since we had a reservation so we were immediately seated and handed over a menu. We were explained as to what the offer entails and what all was included in it from the menu. After about two mins my sister and I had already decided with what we wanted since their dim sums menu wasn't really that extensive and we have a lot of experience with dim sums so we knew what we wanted. After alerting the waitress that I was ready she asked me to standby which I was ok with. But it was a really long time before she actually came to my table and took my order even though she did acknowledge me a couple of times and assured me that she would attend to me shortly. There weren't that many customers at the restaurant and it's not like she was busy attending to the already existing ones. I wouldn't want to put the blame on her completely as there were other waiters who could have easily attended to us. Finally I think it was the manager who took out order. <br/><br/>After we placed our order, we had to wait around 20 - 25 mins to actually get our food. Again...There weren't that many customers. Once we were done with our first round, we decided to go for our second, this time with a different selection of dim sums. Again, it was difficult to grasp the attention of any one waiter. There were two who were visibly arguing over who should take our order and finally a waiter arrived at our table, very reluctantly I must add. <br/><br/>The second time round we didn't really have to wait that long for the food. Overall the dim sums were nothing great. Nothing I ate was something that I would have ordered a second time and I really don't feel like I got my money's worth of food. There was one dish that I would like to point out. I think it was the chicken with mushrooms that we ordered that had a really funny smell to it which made it quite inedible. I'm not sure if it was the meat or the mushrooms that were giving out that odour.<br/><br/>To be fair, maybe their main courses haven't changed that much so I would like to come back and try them out to give this restaurant another rating since this used to be one of my favorite chinese restaurants in Dubai.

Nice location and best way to pass by before going to the airport, its actually just facing Terminal 1 of Dubai international airport inside hotel Le Meridien. Very cool and relaxing outdoor area, comfortable lounge style seats and a varied chinese menu, if you are fan of this cuisine.

One of the nicer Chinese restaurants in Dubai, their sesame walnuts are irresistible. The dim sum is decent and the chili garlic sauce is positively our favourite. While we weren’t too impressed with the coconut mousse, the chocolate passionfruit cake was delightful. We just wish the prices hadn’t gone up.

The manager catered to us along with the other servers.<br/><br/>The ambiance was dark in a calm, romantic like way.<br/><br/>The sitting were very different, big comfortable chairs, very fine China and even some nice family couch sitting areas to dine in.<br/><br/>We ordered some shrimp and chicken dumplings for starters which was perfect.<br/><br/>For main course we had seafood fried rice which was yummy and not oily. Had sauted shrimps, sweet and chili hammour, BBQ duck with pancake etc, and calamari, as well as vegetable noodle.<br/>It was all very satisfying! Truely enjoyed the whole meal, no complains. They served us our food nicely.<br/>Only wish the server who made our duck with pancake etc added more sauce in it or just left the sauce in our table or gave us an option to make it ourselves which was what happened before.<br/><br/>For dessert we had the chocolate cake with lychee ice cream which was a great combination.<br/><br/>And green tea for the end. Which helped calm our oh so full tummy.<br/><br/>This restaurant is perfect for a family dinner as well as for a romantic dinner out.<br/><br/>Their sitting area outside is beautiful as well especially in this now winter weather. It is also much brighter outside and you can smoke if u wish.<br/><br/>Do give it a try.👌<br/><br/>P.s. I ordered a lime mint fresh juice it was very fresh but sour to my liking luckily they served it along with a little sugar syrup glass in case I wanted to sweeten it up. Others ordered fruit punch, I tasted it and I love it. Watermelon and pineapple juice which both said was great as well.

Visited last night. First impressions: dark and quiet, elegantly furnished but charger plates were scratched badly and glasses had smudge marks. Restaurant quite empty but it was a weeknight. Each table had a bottle of wine on it, which might impress some but is off putting for those who don't drink. For some reason waiters kept refilling glasses with water the minute we took a sip but took very long to bring menus and take orders. Our waitress did not have much knowledge about the items on the menu and she had to flag down someone else to explain it to us. Dim sum was average, the crispy duck with pancakes was excellent. For mains, we ordered the szechuan chicken fried rice, which was very good but our sea food mains was nothing memorable. Thank goodness the price was quite reasonable for two, but still not worth it unfortunately. Sad because I have heard good things about this place.

I went there with my family on a Thursday night. We didn't make any reservations and even though the restaurant was full we were taken to our table as soon as we arrived. We ordered hot n sour soup and steamed dumplings. For main course we ordered crispy noodles with vegetables and a some chicken dish ( I can't remember its name). Overall the taste was very good. The size of the portions were not as big as you get at PF Chang's but they were bigger than any other chinese restaurants in a 5 star hotel I have been to. The desert we had was banana split, however nothing to write home about it. The service was mediocre especially when it comes to taking order for and serving desert. It is for this reason that I have deducted 1 point.

Visited this restaurant on recommendations, found it to be a pleasant outing. The starters were better than the main course which was median in taste however the quality of food in terms of standard needs a mention as in even after having two starters and pretty heavy main course I did not feel heavy or stuffed which is appreciable. Wasabi prawns and Peking duck were neat.

I'm a frequent visitor of Long Yin and I love the Chinese here. The flavours and the taste is very distinct from other restaurants. <br/>The ambience of any restaurant matters to me a lot and this place satisfies my need for that. Loved the dim lighting, pretty booths and of course the beautiful crockery! The food was just like icing on the cake and was really delish.

Interior is ok but once we entered there was very loud music that i think was coming from the karaoke section or something? Was too loud for lunch but once we were seated it was less noisy. We dived in to the menu and ordered everything? The crab corn soup starting off was flavorful and a good portion, Loved their appetizers the dim sums were absolutely great. The prawn toast too. The lettuce wrap was a let down i've had way better in other places. The pecking duck was yummy. I was a bit too full when the rice noodles and kang pao chicken came but it was good nonetheless , the noodle tho wasn't a hit on the table. A good place for classic good chinese food i must say.

The menu choice is just perfect and they do offer advice based on your taste-buds.<br/><br/>Prior booking is a MUST as you need to be lucky to get a table if you just walk-in, specially for dinner. They have both indoors as well as outside seating arena and the place is surprisingly quiet for such a busy place that it is. Being picky about the kind of place that I dine at and avoiding noisy ones (I prefer to lunch if I love the food, but hate the crowd!); this place is an exception and I will dine here for a lunch or dinner any day if I am in the mood for some good Chinese serving

One of the coldest Chinese restaurants in the city but still one of the best. The serve the best starters when I compare them to other Chinese restaurants in town. The main course are also great specially the Crispy Duck. The service is very friendly and great with kids.

In a mood for Chinese ???? Authentic Chinese ???? Think it Over !!! Ok. Foremost , the reason why we chose this place is cause of the out door seating arrangement . Management and staff was very courteous , no doubt. We ordered a crispy chicken starter cause there was really limited option for the vegetarians or those interested only in poultry , for the appetizers . I recommend that they should have more options . The taste was not mind blowing . Had ordered for a chicken soup , again very average .... The chef could do the trick by May be give it a slight flavor of lemon grass and may be bread as an accompaniment . When you pay more , you definitely expect a little variance to what we can get at normal restaurants.

The first thing that really stuck out in the restaurant among even the more expensive places in Dubai is the quality of service. It was superb! Loved their soup, the prawn wasabi, and even the main courses we ordered! Loved the place!

Excellent food, I loved the dimsums and they had tons of options to choose from. The rest of the menu was quiet extensive too. We tried a few cocktails and they did not disappoint. The restaurant was somewhat fancy with outdoor seating, and that's why it was a bit on the pricey side. Loved it, perfect for a special night out.

The Longyin resturant in the Le Meridien Hotel is excellent resturant. After the new look its even more excellent, the service is fantastic and the staff very friendly and couteuse and the manager of the resturant is very friendly and accomodating and even the chef of the resturant is very obliging to cook the style you like it and yeah overall its fantastic palce to have alovely meal with family or with friends. Its also value for money too. I love the new look of the resturant and the open kitchen it has now, and the private seating it has now aswell. You have the option to be seated outside aswell.

Long Yin, just like the Le Meridien in which it is located, is one the longest standing old school 5 star restaurants in town. Recently revamped, the restaurant has turned into a more classy and unorthodox affair. I liked the understated ambiance. The service was as prompt as ever. But the food wasn't really at par with what it used to be once upon a time.<br/><br/>The dim sum menu, which at first sight looks pretty interesting, was over crowded with prawns, and pretty much a mixed affair when it came to taste. The sichuan chicken and prawn dumplings were mildly interesting, where the plain chicken and prawn sio mai was decidedly bland. The chicken bun did win me over though, although that was only because every other place in town insists on extra doses of sweet soy sauce stuffed inside their buns, while these guys were more old school. The onion pancakes were probably the highlight of our starter menu, with a crisp, light exterior, and just-the-right-amount-of-savoury filling.<br/><br/>Then came the main course, and all hope for the old Long Yin went bust. We had ordered egg fried rice to appease the large group we had, but all it had was egg and rice. No sign of a single vegetable. Agreed, the rice seemed to have been cooked in a nice broth, but I couldn't ignore just how bland the affair was. The wok fried hammour with chilli bean sauce was another disaster, with a sauce which tasted like it had come straight off a supermarket shelf, and fish which seemed to have been frozen last week, and overfried to compensate. The chicken was good but not great. The Peking duck was was very well done, served at the perfect pace, and the best of the mains.<br/><br/>The desserts were the only ones I have no complains about. The chilled mango pudding was absolutely perfect, much better than any other place in Dubai. The ginger creme brulee was different from every version of the dessert I've ever had, and done just right. A good ending.<br/><br/>Having been to Long Yin quite a few times in the past, and twice after the renovation, I have quite mixed feelings about the place. The service is impeccable, and menu has quite a bit of oomph, but the food needs to be brought back up to par. Unfortunately, another veteran restaurant seems to have joined the league of strictly average has-beens.

Today, for the last time this year I wore my Le Meridien Ambassador cap :( but it was for a very special occasion. Yes one of my favourite Restaurants at Le Meridien Dubai has had a “face-lift” and I was invited down for lunch to have a look around the new look Long Yin.<br/><br/><br/>I have dined at Long Yin a few times over the years and it has always been a favourite when it comes to good Chinese food, the food is always faultless. Today however wasn’t just about the food but about the new look the Restaurant has. Truly gorgeous, hardly recognisable from its old very traditional Chinese feel. Gone with the red and in with the soft green, dark woods and beautiful lilac lights. I loved the new colour scheme.<br/><br/>Onto our dining experience, I ordered the deep-fried golden crispy prawns, even Manager Peter remembered they are my favourite on the appetizers menu. They were absolutely superb and cooked to perfection with a fabulous crisp batter. Mr Armani went for his favourite; hot and sour soup with chicken (no complaints whatsoever). For main course I was torn between another prawn dish but eventually settled on the aromatic crispy duck with pancakes and Hoi Sin sauce, served at the table. Mr Armani opted for the "Kong Po" style fried chicken with cashew and chilli with Szechuan fried rice with chicken. I had a quick taste of this and it was amazing! as were my freshly rolled duck pancakes.<br/><br/>All that is left to say is that yet again Le Meridien Dubai have excelled themselves with the re-launch of Long Yin and its great new menu, which incidentally has a fabulous Dim Sum promotion. Yes you can dine from 12.30 til 3pm on steamed and fried Dim Sum of your choice at 111 AED with non-alcoholic drinks, and 199 AED for the regular beverages package. Brilliant decor, efficient staff and really good food.. Long Yin provides for a great dining experience. It might not be the most reasonably priced or authentic Chinese restaurant around, but the food is worth every bit. The selection of dim sums is exceptionally good. Out of the many dishes we ordered, the ones worth mentioning are the Prawn Wasabi (wow!), the Prawns on toast (I was surprised how such a simple dish could be SO good), and the BBQ peking duck with Hoi Sin Sauce and pancakes.. All of them must tries! The chicken and prawn sio mai was really good too, and so were the steamed chicken dumplings. The stuffing in the chicken buns seemed slightly stale.. and the egg fried rice could've done with more vegetables. All in all, a pretty decent meal.. Whether you're a seafood lover or meat lover, there's something to cater to everyone's tastes.

Visited today to celebrate my mother-in-law's 80th birthday. The welcome was very professional and we were offered the best seats in the restaurant. We ordered soup , prawn dumplings , chilli garlic prawns , egg fried rice and vegetable hakka noodles . The food was really good with the right blend of spice. The service was really good and we were well looked after . The highlight was the complementary cake with the candle and the staff singing Happy Birthday to end a lovely afternoon. Thank You team Long Yin.
