Huddle House Wise

The food was decent. Your typical greasy spoon with breakfast and dinner options. Their waffles are their claim to local fame and had a beautifully crispy exterior. A nice pure syrup or local jam would've been a great addition. The biscuits were tough to cut through but the gravy was good. The bacon and hashbrowns were spot on and just what I wanted. The eggs were cooked a perfect over medium. My mom literally used a few napkins to sop up the pool of grease pooling under her Philly cheesesteak omlete. Very busy Sunday morning. The staff seemed a bit stressed and their wait management left a lot to be desired. Sometimes there's quite the line but you just grab tables as they open up. Having a staff member dedicated to keeping a list would've been nicer for everyone. Overall, a fine breakfast for a weekend jaunt but nothing worth making a special trip for.

The breakfast was amazingly good. Superior quality; scrambled eggs were fully cooked but fluffy, bacon was crispy but not burnt, toast had the perfect dollop of butter, the grits were gritty, and I could go on. We were in Wise, VA for a few days and everyone even the kids wanted to go back each day; so we did. The service was fast and even though they are packed with people waiting, you are never rushed. We had a blast reading the back of the staff's shirts. I posted a picture of their brownie which was so delicious I bit into it before taking the picture. Do not leave Wise, VA without eating here.

The food is always good I love the one cooks that they're most of the time we stop to eat. But that's the second or third time we've had that waitress and she just is horrible. She doesn't smile looks like she don't want to fool with us sits on her phone leaning against the cooking grill area not on the one where the heat is I know they'll be a smart remark about it. Is she laugh and cut up with the other waitress or whoever she's with on the phone but she doesn't treat her customers like we should be treated
