Pho Van

I started my new job in Windsor last year, and I’ve been going here quite often. It’s a small Mom and Pop shop, and the owners are really nice. I’ve always gotten the rice dish with grilled porkchop, sliced pork, fried egg, Vietnamese egg-cake or whatever it’s called. You should definitely try this place out.

We have gone to many a Pho restaurant and had good experiences but this place was so much better than any of them, the view was great, the staff cooks in view of most tables, the blended bubble tea was fresh tasting and the Pho was better than any other place we have been to. The staff was so friendly and attentive ensuring our experience was even better. We will definitely be regulars from here on out! Also super clean place!

The broth is too sweet for my liking. It leaves me swollen and feeling like I’m going to burst. Good soup though, once it’s balanced with spice, lime and herb. The meat and tendon are decent portions. The price point is a couple dollars higher than I think it’s worth. If it was a fresh broth without any flavor additives, it might be worth. I speculate there is a lot of sugar and possible msg which takes it down a few notches for me. I eat pho when I want something healthy, hearty and healing. This feels like it spikes my blood sugar and damages my body.
