Ginger's Cafe

Sorry, but I just started leaving reviews and forget to take a food photo. The food here was excellent. Ate there today a late lunch/early dinner. Cafe was clean, but some of the tables and booths hadn't been cleared and cleaned yet. Understandable since everytime I have been by there are always customers there. Signs of good food.y daughter had the brisket dinner and she said the meat was so tender and very tasty. She also ordered the fried dill pickles and they were good, also. I got the chicken fried steak dinner and it was so good. The steak was almost as large as the plate. The fried okra was excellent and the mashed potatoes and white gravy was just as expected with a chicken fried steak dinner. I will definitely be looking forward to returning to this cafe.

We went on a Saturday evening around 7pm. There were only 4 or 5 other tables seated. We got right in and took a seat. The waitress took our drink order almost immediately and came back for our food order quickly. She was kind and did a great job. The restaurant seemed clean. We ordered burgers, one with curly and one with waffle and one with a side salad. The waitress added the toppings to my salad without gloves and I don't know if she washed her hands. I think she was using tongs but I would have liked to have seen gloves or hand-washing. The salad was your average cafe side salad but the ranch dressing was amazing! The fries were the perfect crispiness and tasted fresh, served hot. The burgers were pretty good. They were served with tomatoes, lettuce, and bread/butter pickles on the side. I'm more of a dill pickle kind of person on my burgers. Overall a good experience and we will return.

Normally pretty good and quick. Bad visit there today. Waited over 20 minutes to hear it was still going to be a while for breakfast. I could hear exactly what the lady in the kitchen was saying. My advice to her is to help the staff not just to tell an apparently new cook what to do. When I heard the phrase just put it under the warmer it can wait we have to do this order first. We were ready to leave. Never got to eat. Hope they have a better day and good luck to the new cook.
