Five Square

Very spacious dining area to accommodate large groups. It's quite rare to feature cod fish on the menu and it was lightly grilled to retain the light delicate flavour. I only wished that the food would be warmer when it reached the table. The mushroom soup was rather chunky yet enjoyable. The grilled chicken with mushroom sauce pairs well with the colourful salad.

It is located right next to the PARKROYAL on Pickering and also the office building One George. Lunch hours are rather crowded that finding a seat can be a challenge. Food assortment as well as quality is great here, though. Prices are on the higher side, but quite common for downtown eateries. The place is much more spacious, cleaner, and better in look and feel, compared to a regularly good court. The grill knife is my favorite where the char siow is excellent, but portion is small.

Avoid dinner on weekend evenings - half the stalls are closed. Went on a Saturday evening - it's brightly lit from the outside but once you get in, half the stalls (Vietnamese and Western) were closed and Spanish stall only had pizza - entire tapas and paella menu is unavailable. That pretty much leaves only the Japanese katsu don stall and the overpriced drinks stall.
