This photo is from 2015. When they had a full menu. Since the whole pandemic, it’s been cut to half of the items available. We used to visit constantly and now it’s been months. They even cut from the menu their amazing corn bread. How is corn in food shortage? This is the only restaurant that implemented a limited menu and never brought the whole menu back. Locations still get full. I get it. Profit.

The margaritas are alway good here. The chips are hot and you can have as much as you want. We always get a side of chopped cilantro to make the salsa more authentic. The food here has always been good. The service is excellent. We have been coming here for over a decade. Please bring back the crawfish etouffee and the blackened chicken caesar salad. 😭

Lively atmosphere, fast, accurate service. Portions were perfect- not too little, maybe slightly expensive for the area but by NYC standards fairly priced. Flavors of various things tried weren’t amazing but pretty good.

A super fun and easy dinner at Border Cafe!
Lots of gluten free options ( please see edit) The food tasted yummy. Sam was our waitress! Such a nice girl!
I dumped a huge glass of water right when we started our dinner. Sam made me feel it was ok lol.
Lots of parking available.
I highly recommend this place if you don’t care about eating gluten.
Edit.: I don’t think the food was gluten free after asking the waitress 20 times while ordering the food. I was sick after the dinner.

The chips and salsa were good. We ordered a steak fajitas and a chicken fajitas. One with white rice and one with the Jose rice and beans. There fajitas do not come with peppers only onions. They were both flavored very badly. We didn't even eat them. We ask for a box for the cheese, that was good and everything else we left. My daughter eats everything and she would not eat any of the food after trying everything. We will not be back.

It borders so it a chain ya know⛓. So food is average as far as imagination but its tasty food. Our server however was on top of it all meal she did a great job. happiness is warm plate of black bean and corn Empanadas

The gumbo taste really great, the quesadillas are big and tasty. I am not a fan of the fajitas here, but the carne asada has great taste.

Overall just okay experience. I went with a small group and the service was terrible. Our table was served and they brought over dishes we did not order, and then another person and I did not get our food for a good 10 minutes after the rest of our table was served. The food was decent but service definitely lacking. Maybe I’d go back on a quieter night.
