Surf Bbq

This was my first time at this restaurant and here is my honest review broken down by the pros and cons of the experience. Pros: - The wings were very crispy and well cooked. - The chips they give the table were great. Cons: - The service. Our waiter seemed inattentive and uninterested. Two different times we we brought something to our table that we didn't order. - Taste of the actual food was bland with not enough seasoning and sauce. I ordered the bolt sandwich and honestly it tasted like pulled chicken i have had from Quick Chek before. The burger that my fiance had is advertised as "voted best burger in NJ" and honestly, i've had better at local dive bars. Overall I would say if you are looking for a good BBQ restaurant, this wouldn't be the place that i would recommend.

Was really looking forward to trying this place, and glad I recommended it to my family. I was a little scared at first because it was a rainy day and the parking situation was not the best. And when we entered as a party of 5, they wedged us in a corner and added a chair. After that though, nothing but positive marks for this place. My father and I had the pulled pork (could've used more BBQ sauce) and the wings were crispy and well done. My mother had tacos, gf had the Alabama chicken sandwich, and sister had the Oaxaca Chicken bowl. The chips along with the salsa were tasty. The waiter was a younger guy and the service was fine. 5/5.

I saw an advertisement for Serve barbecue on Facebook it showed a picture of their specialty surf barbecue burger me and my family decided to go there for dinner we drove a half an hour and it was definitely worth it we were seated a half an hour before our reservation the waiter came out introduced himself and we advised him it was our first time there so he started recommending things off the menu we had barbecue buffalo wings which were delicious they also had craft beers my wife is undecided on which one to get so he said let me bring you out a few testers after all that we came to the main course and we all order different burgers each one was me to order and delicious also their hand cut fries were made to perfection we wrapped dinner up with a piece of New York style cheesecake and the waiter than explained where it came from it was purchased from a bakery made fresh that day.
