Sugar Shack In The Back

My daughter turned me on to this place. It's absolutely gorgeous food if you're into desserts. The ice cream is delicious and the brownies are out of this world. I don't love sitting under the tent in the sweltering heat, but there is a huge old tree with picnic tables that's a little bit more comfortable. The staff is super friendly and takes good care to provide prompt and conscientious service. Great Hidden Gem in Old Roswell.

One of our favorite spots for dessert. The ice cream and treats are reasonably priced and delicious. I have serious cravings for their banana pudding ice cream. It's the best! Seating inside is limited but there are picnic tables under a huge, beautiful tree just outside. The staff is always friendly and patient. They are especially patient with the many kids that come through with their dessert ticket from Fickle Pickle next door.

The desserts her are delicately delicious, if that's even a word. I had the red velvet cookie it was fresh and had just right amount of sweetness ( sweet but not to sweet). All of the pastries looked freshly made and they had awesome flavors for ice cream such as the banana pudding and etc... Service was quick and I hear the Blondie Brownies are to die for, also it's literally a shack in the back. Well, it's a cute little cottage in the back of another cottage. I will definitely be back when in the area.

Went there for the first time this morning. We have been frequenting another coffee shop in the downtown Roswell area that we love. But unfortunately it isn't open on Sunday mornings, which is a shame. So we needed to find something that we liked for Sunday mornings. I think we found it. I had seen the signs with the Counter Culture Coffee, but had not ventured in. I checked the reviews and the Chicken Biscuit was raved about. We had lattes, which were descent and fit the bill for us. Definitely a step up from Starbucks and less money. We ordered the Chicken Biscuit which was only 3:50.......added an egg and cheese ( brie)for another dollar which I thought was a steal EXCELLENT. Hubby says that next time he will order the Fried green tomato one. Look delicious. We did order beinets, but they weren't fresh made and tasted more doughnuty than traditional style with powdered sugar. Wouldn't order those again.....but the other sweet goods looked amazing and would go back and try. We will most likely be here on Sunday mornings. Keep up the good work Sugar Shack!

It can be easy to miss this little spot since it's off the main street. Just look for the Fickle Pickle. It's behind it. I'm not going to lie, I was headed to Gracious Plenty one morning and saw a line standing out the door so I just kept going. As I was doing a slow roll, I saw a sign for breakfast biscuits at Sugar Shack so I stopped in to try it out. While I was there, I had a pastry -- a vanilla beignet. It was purported to be the favorite. I didn't get it. It was alright, but it was more a donut than a beignet. The breakfast biscuit I had was so good though. The biscuit was dense and fluffy with a crusty, salty top. Prices were super reasonable. ~$4 for the biscuit. ~$1.50 for the pastry. The only thing that was strikingly out of balance was the coffee -- large at ~$3.50. :-o It's quaint inside but not cozy. There are limited seating options inside as most of the space is taken by the kitchen and counter.
