Bar Taco has excellent and unique food. The drinks are made fresh. I found the drinks the best very puppy and thick (not my personal favorite). I would 10/10 recommend the duck quesadillas and the salsa trio. The atmosphere was good but the place can get loud.

Great place for some craft drinks and specialty tacos.
The Baja fish was good, but the roasted duck and glazed pork belly were outstanding!
Service was incredibly friendly, engaging, and expedient.
It is busy, and a bit noisy as a result, but still highly recommend.

Please clean the live plants at the entrance; they are so dusty! Other than that, the service was nice and fast, although it is self-order through the app. I had the glazed pork rice bowl and plantains. The plantains and the sauce were so yum. The rice bowl was just okay though - wish they gave more pork.

Everything about this place is amazing!! The pork belly Taco and street corn is my favorite!! The staff and manager David are so patient and sweet. I love bar taco, this place is my go to, I just wish it was closer to me in Wake Forest!!

Great decor and feel to the place. Only ever sat at the bar and have always had great service. Little on the pricier side for this type of food compared to my usual Mexican haunts, but it's one of my girlfriends favorite places and the food does not disappoint. She is vegan and they have a plenty for her to eat which is why it's one of her favorites. Good take on Mexican classics without over doing it. If you're in the area and looking for some good food with a great atmosphere, I would recommend

Went for dinner on a Thursday. I love the atmosphere here! The drinks are a little pricey but my spicy margarita was delicious (this is actually spicy, unlike some places, so be prepared if you order it spicy... IT IS!). The food was good, not great. We got the salsa trio, multiple tacos, the street corn (off the cob) and churros. The pork belly tacos were both of our favorites. I like the Baja fish taco as well! The duck taco tasted like pulled pork. The shrimp taco was definitely my least favorite. The Tuna taco (comes on Lettuce) just tasted like the seasoning, couldnt really taste tuna.The corn was so so... I thought it was under seasoned. Churros were delicious! My fiance loves it here so we'll be back.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while now.
First, the pros, everything was very tasty, and for that, I will be back. I got the chicken bowl, pork belly, sesame ribeye tacos, and salsa verde w/ chips. The pork belly was my favorite.
Now the cons portions are pretty small as other reviewers mentioned was not expecting that. Didn't check first lol. And everything is a bit pricey given the smaller portions. I got mine to go and had to do a bit of supplementing with what I had on hand.
Overall, I plan to return to try some of their other options and possibly dine in to see how that experience goes.

Wow what a great quick bite. 5pm on a weekday and there was no wait despite being pretty packed.
Nice selection for all types of customers. Full bar. Order through app, but waiters & waitresses available.
App could be a little more intuitive. Navigating back and forth should be more fluid.

Had such a fun dinner with my girls tonight. We were seated promptly, and several employees helped introduce us to the menu. My favorite was definitely the pork belly taco, and the guacamole was also good!!

Want delicious tacos and drinks? This is a great spot for that. I had the Bartaco "green" Margarita, three tacos; chile -like shrimp, glazed pork belly, and roasted duck. All of them were delicious, but the roasted duck was my favorite! End my meal with Churros with the vanilla sauce, and the churros were perfect (not greasy). I insist on trying this place 😋🤤
