Breadsmith

Been coming here for 3 years. This past year the quality (of what I buy) has gone down. I got a baguette yesterday & it's so hard I can't even bite it. Same with the cookie I bought. This is the 3rd time it has happened so I'm just not buying bread here again. Which makes me sad because I used to love their baguette. I did ask about it after the first time it happened & was told to put it in a zip lock bag. I shouldn't have to put it in a plastic bag to be able to eat it.

This is a wonderful bakery. It is small and the staff is very accommodating. As a special treat, we pick up loaves of bread on Sunday mornings to get us through the week. The bread stays fresh for days unrefrigerated-- a great alternative to grocery store-bought bread which often goes stale soon after you buy it. The rye bread is scrumptious and perfect for sandwiches. We've also purchased the rustic Italian bread (sliced) which is ideal not only for sandwiches but is also terrific for toasting and dipping in oil. This morning, we also made french toast with the leftover Italian bread. I can't say enough good things about this cute little bread company. We plan to build our Sunday outings to Breadsmith a regular part of our weekly routine from now on.
