Cracker Barrel

I had to wait 10 minutes for a table which really isn't bad. They're careful about social distancing and disinfecting tables after customers use them. The employees wear masks. I applaud all of this. I had fried fish which was very good and I loved the hush puppies and biscuits. My waitress was very friendly and efficient.

We have had some awesome experiences here, especially my last one on Mother's Day. The wait time was relatively short, the facility was clean, the food was delicious, and the staff was so friendly. Our waitress, Tiffany went above and beyond for us and really helped to make my day. We would eat here all of the time, if we could afford to and my toddlers weren't such a handful to take out. Thankfully, there is a lot to occupy them here and prices are so reasonable. Thank you to the staff for some great experiences!

Both mom and I ordered vegetable plates. Took forever to get them. Her turnips were too dry to eat. I ordered squash casserole that had no squash , the crumbles on top were all I got. I told my server and she brought me more and it was a little better. I ask to have her turnips taken off the bill. She said she couldn't and brought some "to go" as we were leaving. The server was good but the issues were kitchen related.

It's been many years since my last experience at a Cracker Barrel. Unfortunately, maybe it was a bad day for the cooks, but this location under-delivered for dinner. After a long day of traveling, we were looking forward to some hot, tasty food. Unfortunately, 3 out of 4 of our entrees were cold and lacked seasoning. The chicken fried steak was well -seasoned, but cold. The only saving grace this evening was Olivia, our server. Not counting them out forever, but at least for this trip.

The last eight or nine times that I have ordered from this cracker barrel has been a Gamble: usually you get more than enough for your money that's why I was so happy with this place, but here lately I have noticed that they have been getting lazy with it, I just assumed it had to do with who was working that day, but today was so ridiculous I just have to say something. Today I ordered the meatloaf plate, the amount of meatloaf that I received was so small it was a insult and a total rip off. I have seen a bigger slice on a child's plate. Seriously, I don't know why they needed such a big plate when they could have just as easily had used one of the small cups that they put coleslaw in,. I should have took a picture of my plate to show that I am not exaggerating, but I did not think about it at the time because I was so upset. I understand with covid portions have got smaller and most businesses are struggling but if you're going to have meatloaf on your menu and sell it at full price you need to make sure it's a decent portion, or if not offer a discount. I have been burnt so many times on my order especially today that I am certain that I will not use this location again unless I am very desperate.
