Popped into this Mother Hubbards as we had been to Manchester. The lady who served us was really nice, she acknowledged us and her personality was lovely. The food was lovely and warm. Enjoyed the experience and customer service will pop back again if we visit Manchester again..thank you

Had to wait a long time on Friday evening for food. The drive-through queue was not moving , the just eat machine was pinging with orders as well as it being busy with customers in the shop. Food was good though

Absolutely fabulous. We traveled from Shropshire this morning to see my elderly mother who suggested a chippy dinner. Seeing the menu I decided on the Jumbo Fish and Chips and wow. The three of us are full up and half is coming back to Shropshire. Thanks.

We visited England from Canada, and on our journey we popped into Old Mother Hubbards. What an amazing experience! Fish was absolutely delicious! Best fish I’ve had in England!

The best fish and chips I have ever tried till this day. The fish was crispy and chips were delicious and i absolutely loved the gravy.

Apart from the 30 min wait, the food was really good. The fish was soft and flaky on the inside and the batter crunchy. Chips were very nice - just right.
Chicken and mushroom pie was cold unfortunately so don't have much else to say.
Decor needs refreshing for those eating in.

Got a fish and chips around evening just after work. Was not disappointed as chips were fresh,fish was a large portion which I loved. More so their batter was crispy and fish was moist and flaky. Will definitely come back.

Really nice fish and chips, good sized portions and really nice sausage! This place is really good. Upgraded to 5 stars! Regularly now order via justeat and always massively impressed. Lovely chips (crisp and fluffy)!made from good quality potatoes, always a beautiful fish covered in lovely batter. Gravy and mushy peas also very nice. Highly recommended and I order from all over Oldham!

I live in UK for 11 years, tried many places and I absolutely hate the fish and chips in general.
My family came for Christmas to visit me and wanted to try the “famous fish and chips”, I did my research and I decided to give a try on “Old Mother Hubbards”. I absolutely loved it! The staff is friendly and welcoming, the fish had a great natural flavour, extremely great portion, not soggy and chips were good too! Traditional decorations on indoors and high chairs available for the little ones.
I didn’t give 5 stars because I like to give my honest feedback. Kids chicken nuggets are really extremely small but oversized on chips. The chairs were quite harder, windows and tables weren’t clean thoroughly , what doesn’t make it the restaurant transpired at the best (not a complain but a comment for improvement. Of course, if owners would like to improve their restaurant).
Thank you! Overall recommend it and I will be back shortly for sure.

Fabulous crispy fish with proper chippy chips. Great size portion, large fish. For the food I would give 5 stars but the seating area could be better but decent overall. Family friendly 😊 I would go back!
