Rascal

The 3 stars are for the burger, the buffalo fries don't deserve any stars. Buffalo fries are simply buffalo sauce on undercooked fries. We added cheese, not sure that made things better. The reason why I say the fries were undercooked, is because it was pale, soggy, and not a single bit of crisp to it. Then add the buffalo sauce and it's wet fries. The burger, well.. cheese wasn't melted as you can see, but taste was alright. My partner got a cheeseburger of some sort, was better than mine. Not sure I'll be back due to disappointing fries. Parking is also a bit of a pain..

Went here last week and will definitely come back should I visit Newcastle. The service was amazing, staff were courteous and highly considerate of my group's halal requirement. I had ordered the jerk chicken burger and the tots. Burger was delectable however it contained a few pieces of tomato which wasn't stated in the menu. The tots had all been fried to the point of losing the satisfying fluffy potato centers and were a bit too salty for my taste but I can't complain about the crunch :)

This is my second time eating here. Rascal is a popular burger joint here, and the burgers are above average.. but so are the prices. I had a burger, fries and a bottle of water for over $20. Not the most expensive burger I've had, but Rascal is not the most up-market burger place I've been to either. I do remember coming here years ago with a friend and he got a ramen burger which looked really good and I've been meaning to try, but alas it is no more - I'd vote for its return.
