Trader Joe

I live in East Harlem but this Trader Joe's, some 100 blocks south of me is my local supermarket. I have a few theories about the practices of this magnificent shopping emporium. They do a great job hiding the unhealthy food and will only hire you if you treat every customer discreetly like royalty. Not happy with a prior purchase? Your attending clerk will ring a large, brass, wall-mounted ship's bell and your purchase will be credited by a roving supervisor, no questions asked. You will be asked whether you had found everything you were looking for "today?" Well, truthfully, not always, but why dampen the enthusiasm? If you crave fresh fruits and vegetables and healthy salads and sandwiches, this is the place for you. I always compliment the clerk standing on the platform directing the stream of single file customers to numbered cashiers. "Nothing ever happens around here without you!" They smile knowingly. Marvelous!

Ok, so basically, Trader Joe’s is my go-to store for groceries because they have great prices and deals, high quality food, and very kind and helpful staff that will help you find your food. Trader Joe’s also has a very wide variety and selection of your food of choice, so you will always have a lot of options. Highly recommended. The best grocery store in all of New York City.

A great store all the store employees are friendly and very helpful affordable prices interesting new products great quality I highly recommend going shopping at Trader Joe's you won't regret it! one of my new favorite foods is the chicken fried rice so good taste just like take out and one of my favorite snacks are the chocolate covered espresso beans! only $1very tasty and it will give you a little energy kick too so go buy a couple of packs and soon your find your own favorite items too!

EXCEPTIONAL VIBE Well you know trader Joe's is great and all Trader Joe's are great in some way but this one was outstanding today and I got lucky checkout counter number 12. So if you're lucky you will get him too, and have a great conversation, as I did. But I did notice that everyone was super duper polite which is always the case but this is a standout location at least from what I observed and I just saw tons of people laughing so the best way for workers and people to live well is to unite, have fun, laugh and celebrate. This place is amazing.

One of my favorite Trader Joe's locations. The staff is always kind, helpful, and patient and the store is just the right size (not too big or small!). Best to go early in the morning when the bread is freshest and while the shelves are still stocked. Products go fast and half the store is sometimes depleted by closing time thanks to the high foot traffic. Their latest hours are 8 am - 9 pm, as of May 2023. (Not sure if I'm mistaken, but I think they used to open at 6 am, pre-Covid.)

One of the better Tjs in the city. Has the feel of an older store with the red floors! This store is well stocked and not as busy as some of the other city stores at the time of day I shopped there. The friendliness and helpful you expect at TJs was met and exceeded here! Definitely made the “Joe’s trip” feel like easier than normal for the grocery run with no time waiting on checkout. Everything was fresh and to standard. Great TJ’s! Check them out for your next grocery trip 😎
