✨COSY LOCAL CAFE✨ 📍 @chewchew711 Moonee Ponds This cafe is situated just right opposite the Moonee Ponds 🚊 station - perfect for those who take PT 👌🏻 They had many popular 😍 breakfast and lunch dishes available on their menu with coffee, smoothies and juices too We ordered: - The Big chew - BBQ Beef 🥩brisket (braised for 24hrs) - Salt & Pepper calamari salad - Go green 💚 smoothie - Watermelon pineapple mint juice 🍉🍍 My favourite was the beef brisket as it was slightly pulled and full of flavour with the broth it was braised in (a bit of herbal/star anise kick to it) The juice 🥤 was also super refreshing, which was very much needed on a hot day! will visit again to rereview as the Cafe seemed nice, close to 5 stars. however, underwhelming eggs on toast, could have done something to spice it up a bit. tasted alright for what it was. coffee tasted a bit watery, in the photo taken it has been stirred. staff were nice and the decorations were lovely. prices were decent for a Cafe, serving sizes good. definitely will visit again and hope the food and coffee is a bit more pleasing next visit. food was more interesting on second visit. but staff were a bit unhelpful and slow.

Sundays are for An Intimate brunch, centered around self care and self love and loads of good vibes. Situated in the a subtle sweet corner of Moone Ponds, next to the bustling station street. This serene vintage cafe @chewchew711 gives is serving warm brunches and caffeine fixes. A good variety of hearty food, in-house breads and lasagnas , Delicious berry infused pancakes, You name it. When you’re at Chew Chew Cafe, do yourself a favour and order the corn fritters and poached eggs with Avo smash! While the plating itself is a feast for the eyes, the well done poached eggd will certainly delight your taste buds! Alternatively, They also serves all-day breakfast with popular dishes such as chicken burger and baked Eggs! Sometimes the perfect brunch doesn’t have to be anything fancy, in fact, just good coffee amazing food and some solitude !

Came here for brunch as I hadn't yet tried this cafe out. Ordered a 'magic' which is my go to coffee plus two meals the egg and bacon roll and the green breakfast salad. The coffee was average with no single origin coffee avail. that I could see (I forgot to get the name of the roaster) The egg and bacon roll was ok, it is generously filled with 2 eggs and a heap of bacon and relish. The green breakfast salad was nice with two poached eggs. The decor and feel of the cafe reminded me of Fitzroy cafes in the late 90's early 2000's. I would return to eat the salad again.
