This is the best place in the Greater New Orleans to get a Roast Beef Po-boy. They roast the beef in house and the taste is 5x better than any other place. The bread is always just the right amount of crisp to it. Another place that has been around since I was a child so you know they are doing everything right. I was so excited to eat this I took a couple of bites before taking the picture.

Went here while on a company trip. Ordered the roast beef plate which was very reasonably priced for the portion, and delicious! The service was excellent and we never felt rushed. The nice woman in the kitchen even insisted I sit and eat immediately and made me feel like I was eating Sunday dinner at my grandmas. Although it is small and might seem a little cramped, I had a very enjoyable experience. Great low maintenance food, nothing fancy, exceptional "home" like feel. Will definitely go back if I'm in the area.

I've only ordered food from the catering menu so this is a review of the catering food only. The woman who handles the catering food (Mary?) is always really sweet and helps me decide how much food I need. I have ordered the finger sandwiches and these are some of the best finger sandwiches I've eaten in the metro area. The spinach and artichoke dip is also SO GOOD. I have also ordered the mini poboys (dressed) and they were excellent as well. I always order these items from here over going to a grocery store.

My boyfriend travels for work...a lot. He saw the sign that said overstuffed sandwiches. When he walked in he almost turned around and walked bsck out. He is always in search of real Louisiana cuisine. He stayed and had a shrimp poor boy and seafood gumbo. Even tho the po boy was not ovrrstuffed, it WAS excellent! 5 *'s! This is true Louisiana eats!
