Rubio's

I had the two fish taco especial and my eyes were wide open at the size of the plump fish. I've been eating at Rubio's (across states) since the womb and the fish pieces were subpar. I was traveling and had a difficult time finding this Rubio's. Only because I was traveling and Google maps did not indicate 'shopping center'. Hey, I'm on the road trying to get home, I'm not trying to shop and eat. Nonetheless, this shopping center's layout allows access to Rubio's from outside the mall and inside the mall. I really like there wasn''t any temptation to go shopping either. Entering from inside the mall you have to walk through the outside seating of Tiki tables into the dining area and around to the register. Entering from the parking lot, it appears that there is no dining area until you get your self serve drinks. Alas! The Self-serve salsa bar has returned.! You must try the savory jalapeno lime salsa. I am anxiously waiting for this to be marketed on the shelves. I love chips. But not chipped teeth. Rubio's chips are crisp, lightly salted, and no greasy residue. I always dip them in the no lard beans in between bites of the moist fish taco. These are not the best fish tacos I have eaten but a reliable and dependable flavor that is not heavy on the tummy, especially when driving across states. I must add there are plenty of food options for salad connoisseurs, vegan, vegetarian, carnivores, pescatarians, kiddos and even if you have no teeth. No joke:) I arrived on a Saturday at noon, just a little crowed and service time was as expected, clean restaurant, and service with smiles. Disability friendly. Diversity excepted.
