Always fabulous food and service . Relaxed atmosphere, nothing is too much trouble . Steak was amazing and easily the best chips I’ve ever had . Pork starter was to die for . Husband had the curry which he said was beautiful. Always our go to restaurant for quality service and value

The Red Gate Inn probably conjures up images of a traditional British pub, with a red door/gate entrance, smokers outside and a musty inside atmosphere. However think again. This is actually a bar and restaurant. We visited the restaurant as part of a leaving do for a colleague and were pleasantly surprised. The owners have fused traditional pub with haute cuisine. All the food is made fresh on the premises. For example the Chicken Schnitzel is made with real roasted chicken, and fried in bread crumbs. The chips are essentially the home made version, browner than the chip shop variety and also softer. The desserts are of a very high standard and made on the premises, including the ice cream. The after dinner shortbread is again made on the premises and melted in your mouth. Hopefully we will be coming back in the near future.

This place serves a very good quality meal, well above the average. Very nicely presented. The lady serving us was lovely. She even came to tell us how long our meal would be. I would highly recommend eating here.
