Came to this restaurant with my partner and daughter for an early Sunday dinner. This place is as close to Italy you will get in the area, food was truly fantastic and the aesthetics of the restaurant tops it off. I deem the pricing of the food to be very reasonable, a pizza and pasta dish, along with a drink, only set us back £23.00. For the quality you get, it’s brilliant. We decided to sit outside in the lovely, colourful courtyard. We were the only ones out there, and that is why I also assume attentiveness in the staff did lack slightly. After bringing awareness to us going outside, we seemed to be forgotten about and I had to go ask for menus and also then go up and order the food too. Apart from this minor and easily-done courtesy error, I can’t fault the establishment in any other way and can only recommend it to anyone looking for a mouth-watering Italian experience.

Overall 4/5 My main course which was a seafood pasta came out barely luke warm and when I told the waitress, she apologised and took it back to the kitchen to have it reheated. I specifically said that I'm happy if the kitchen just put it in the microwave to heat it up (I'm not a fussy customer, but would like to have my food hot). When the dish came back out the second time, there was genuinely no difference to the temperature. Being British I just ate the food as by this point my guests were already halfway through their main and I was only just starting! After I've finished the meal, I went up to the same waitress and left her my feedback regarding the dish. She was very apologetic and asked if I wanted to speak to the manager. I didn't want to get anyone into trouble so I kindly declined the offer. When it came to dessert time, I fancied having their special G&T whilst my guests had something sweet. When the drink was delivered, the same waitress said to me that she's told her manager of my experience, she apologised again and said that the G&T was complimentary, as a way of saying sorry. I was pleasantly surprised that they actually did something to rectify this. I thanked her and the manager before I've left and felt a lot better, not because of the complimentary drink but because they acknowledged the issue and found a happy medium to move on from the situation. Overall, it started weak and disappointing but the evening was saved by the floor staff taking their initiatives and tried their best to make things right. Hopefully next time my pasta will be steaming hot, especially with the weather changing now! Kevin

Lovely menu, Lovely food. Good service. Will defo be going back again. Highly recommended. Not at all what I was expecting. I think I'd been to too many Italian chains and they put me off but this little restaurant was superb. There is parking outside, not many spaces but we found a spot easy enough when shops shut. Child friendly and good menu. Clean and tidy, too!

Had never been here before, and I'm sooo so glad I got to visit Today. The staff were all brilliant, very welcoming, it was a lovely atmosphere. The food was amazing, had a ham and mushroom pizza with a fried egg added, was so good. Pudding was equally as good, sadly was so excited to eat it that I forgot to take a photo. But had panna cotta with a berry compote, yum. Hope to go back, really enjoyed it.

Fantastic. Came for dinner with the family and we're met by friendly staff who saw us to our table. Ordered our food (sharing platters to start and a mix of pizza and pasta dishes for mains) and every thing we had tasted amazing. The food and service were first class and we will definitely be returning. Portion size and value for money are so good. Highly recommend visiting.

I adore Lucca, come many times a year but it seems when you come outside of normal lunch & dinner hours the service seems to drop. It took a while for our drinks order to be taken & then for the drinks to arrive before our food order being taken. It was a really hot day & we were so thirsty. The food is top quality, no doubt about that, and it came out quickly. We were sat downstairs & could overhear the staff chatting about how slow the day was going & orders being thrown around to do things, they just seemed a little drained & made for an uncomfortable atmosphere. Weirdly when it's busy the standards improve. Not sure why the olive oil has been taken off the tables as it was nice to use with the pizza crusts.

Delicious meal, service was quite slow but they were busy. We did have about a 30min wait before we were asked what we wanted for dessert but got there in the end. The chef seems to talk to the staff quite snotty and that was a bit uncomfortable to watch whilst waiting for food. The food was very tasty though, adding truffle oil to the mushroom pizza I would defo recommend.
