First time here today for lunch I was well impressed had egg , sausage & black pudding sandwich with there own hand cut chips , best I have ever had , all with great service and window seat , very busy and I saw many other delicious looking food going out to other tables so I will gong back to try them

Lovely friendly staff, not an exciting menu but well executed and flexible eg: my companion didn't want calamari and they were happy to offer more of the other components. Could maybe do with a few more vegetarian options but my halloumi burger was very tasty.
Dog friendly, hoorah! And you can book. Reasonable prices too. Would definitely recommend.

Revisited here today and it was fabulous! I had the Chapter One classic burger with chips and slaw and it was out of this world! It honestly was one of THE best burgers I've had in a long long time and the homemade chips and slaw were fabulous, can't wait to visit again.

Small bistro / coffee shop off one of the main Street . Place is quite quirky. The courtyard garden looked nice

Really enjoyed our visit here for lunch today. Staff were exceptional - hard working, quick to serve customers and still time for a friendly approach with everyone. Great feel to the place... it seems very popular and a favourite spot for many. Attention to detail in the eating area is very impressive. Menu was varied and meal chosen was lovely. Very enjoyable experience.

We had read good things about Chapter One Bistro and as we were travelling to Whitby we decided to stop off and have a late breakfast. We were welcomed warmly and seated where we ordered coffee and a full English. It was well priced and a very good portion size. The gluten free sausages were exceptional. It was worth stopping and we will definitely visit again when in the area.

Very nice food indeed lovely staff nice decor even the toilets was nice lol. Went to ice cream shop next door which is owned by the same people and guess what that was perfect also .
