Food was excellent; fresh and tasty. Entire staff was friendly and helpful. Atmosphere is homey with local working folk coming in for lunch. You gotta try the lace cornbread. Slap-yo-mama good!

Great food! Southern dishes! Mostly locals. You have to be looking for it to find it. No frills just good food. Closes at 2 so you need to plan on breakfast or lunch. I had the fried pork chops w/mashed potatoes and gravy and cream corn. Wife had cube steak in gravy w/mashed potatoes and cream corn. Delicious! Good size servings at a good price. We'll be back the next time we're in Macon.

The staff is always friendly here. Their fried chicken, so good. And they are the only place in Macon that has fried corn bread. Not a hoe cake, fried corn bread. The cabbage could have used a bit more flavor. It could seem a bit sketchy at first but the food is worth it.
