This was my first visit to JTeez. Great food and attentive service! The shrimp and grits are incredible. You should definitely give this place a shot.

We four each got something different so could share and everything was incredible! Prior comments about the jerk sauce were accurate. It's perfect. So is the curry pineapple boat. I had brunch and it was great. The ribs were perfect and the chicken was so juicy and amazing. Seriously worth the trip out.

The only thing Caribbean about this restaurant is the décor. One of the biggest disappointment. Unfortunately NOTHING on the menu is Caribbean. It's literally American food (curly fries, fried chicken) with a Caribbean restaurant theme. As a Jamaican, I had high hopes for this place. The waiter was nice and accommodating but the food and menu was a sham to be called Caribbean. The rice was tasteless and NOT anything you would get in the Caribbean. The catfish fritters were not seasoned. If you are not accustomed to Caribbean style food, you may think this place is decent or even great because what you don't know won't hurt you. If you are, skip this place. I think the owners have good intentions, but used Caribbean as a marketing ploy to attract curious patrons. Smart. I've tried it multiple times now to give it a chance. Unfortunately, this is not Caribbean and does not offer authentic Caribbean food.

I asked could they grill my jerk chicken instead of fried jerk chicken; and they kindly obliged me of my request. I can't knock this place. My lady was very pleased with her ox tails as well! Don't knock this place until you try eating there. I am very pleased with my food.

You MUST eat here!! I had the Caribbean pineapple Boat and it was the perfect amount of sweet and spicy, absolutely delicious. My sister had the Island Glazed Chicken with sweet potatoes and island fries. My friend Paula had the Jerk Fried Chicken with spicy coleslaw and island rice with beans. And then dessert, Lord have mercy. The Bread Pudding and the Caribbean Secret--I just have no words but I did lick the plate. True story. I live in California but will be coming here every time I visit my family in East Texas. I love love love this place!!

LONG RANT!!! I placed a to go order and the lady on the line I talked to knew little to nothing about the menu which kind of made me feel better since I knew absolutely nothing about the place... strike 1... I decided to give them a chance anyway. Well I ordered the fried plantain(6 plantains came with the order) with a side of rice and that came out to be 14 bucks!!! i was like that's a little steep, so i called back and remembered something about a sampler on the menu that offered what I wanted and a few other options, mind you the lady never mentioned "hey why not try this, it'll be about the same price and you'll get more for your buck!!" Yeah never happened but then again she didn't know much in the beginning anyway strike 2... so i order the sampler thinking for a buck more i'll get plenty...got there took a minute for my food, i wasn't too bothered by that. I will say the people there were nice enough but that was about it. I got my food and it had shrimp with it. I"m allergic to shrimp and the sampler i read didn't mention shrimp, so they corrected it and added another plantain... ok fine go to my job and look over my food again and I didn't realize at the time but two other items were missing which were the slaw and the catfish fritters. i call them back and mention that to them and what i got was ... "oh sorry about that but we don't sell catfish fritters anymore.... ummm ok why not update your menu or tell me " THEY DON'T FREAKING SELL THEM ANY LONGER WHEN YA ORDER THEM!! and the slaw.... "oh yeah sorry about that....... silence... strike 3!! FOOD WASN'T TERRIBLE BUT NOT WORTH 15 BUCKS!! SORRY WON'T BE GOING THERE ANY TIME SOON// This place was located on E Marshall in longview
