Ruby Tuesday

My husband and I were there At the Kinston, North Carolina location for his birthday on December 6. The restaurant was fairly busy, and there was only one girl waitressing. She did an amazing job! Kept her cool and methodically took care of everyone very efficiently! Her name is Emecia. The poor girl should not have been left alone in the situation, but since she was, she took care of it very professionally. This girl deserves a raise!!! You want to keep her. Excellent Employee.

The food was decent, but not the way I remembered it to be. Evening was better than the Sunday meal after church. Annoyed by some lady (worker) that stood at the salad bar, as I was trying to get my dressing. Stood there watching me struggle to get back in the back area for my dressing. Then, she continued to stand in the way, telling another worker to get stuff filled. She then waited till we sat down, asking how our meal was. We hadn't even had time to take a bite. Then another lady came by asking 4 minutes later, maybe the cook, then the host 5 more minutes later. Service was ok. The lady behind the bar seemed to be the one taking care of the whole side, and she stood up at the bar, chatting with customers more than getting the things needed for our table. It is what it is, but we made sure we didn't over burden her as when she was at our table dropping stuff off, was when we asked for what we needed. It took her 3 or 4 trips because she forgot that we asked for the sauce that was ordered, or the refill, etc. We still tipped well because she was serving us, and we're grateful for being able to have a meal out once in a while. My burger seemed dry, my husband said the same, and our son said the sandwich lacked the flavor he was expecting from the description. Fries were hard and cold. Hoping this place is just having off days. We really used to love our old Ruby Tuesdays.

I recently dined at a restaurant that exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked in, the service was exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful dining experience. The management was hands-on, ensuring everything ran smoothly and efficiently. And let's talk about the food! Each dish was a culinary delight, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. I highly recommend this restaurant for its outstanding service, top-notch management, and truly delicious food.

The bad reviews almost kept me from going here. I was hungry, wanted some food and decided to go here. The manager greeted me upon entry and led me to my seat. The server came out immediately and took my order. Then the restaurant started to fill up with patrons. The staff that was working gave it their best. Yes, they seem short staffed, but they definitely handled the crowd the best way that they could while keeping a friendly disposition. They got my respect.

I had really hoped Ruby Tuesday had improved over time. We use to enjoy going there years ago for their famous salad bar. This visit was no different- we went for the salad bar- but boy were we disappointed. Everything was brown and the vegetables were wilted like they had been out all day. The other items like cheese and pastas were clumped together like they had been out too long. We ordered a round of drinks, my husband loved the long island iced tea and I had a berry lemonade, both drinks were really good. I can't remember the exact dish my husband ordered but I had the Alfredo with shrimp, the flavor of the shrimp was good but the Alfredo had no flavor and you could have fought someone with the bread stick and won-hard as a rock. Our server seemed to be the only one in our area of the restaurant and was running around even though there were just a few tables. We didn't really understand why she was running around so much because there were tons of staff just standing around and watching her work her butt off. Wish someone would have helped the girl out instead of joking around and talking amongst themselves. Probably won't be back to this location.
