Rise & Shine Cafe

Nice breakfast and brunch spot. Very cozy little cafe in Acorn Alley. They are open until 2:00 PM with a mostly breakfast menu. This menu features staples like pancakes, waffles, bacon, eggs, biscuits with gravy, homefries, crepes etc. They also have a selection of breakfast sandwiches/burritos, soups/sandwiches, pastries etc. The real stars are the pancakes and waffles which are loaded with great looking toppings. We had several items and they were all good. The homefries/hashbrowns were exceptional. The only knocks on this place are the sausage gravy which was very underseasoned, limited hours, and seating. Due to seating issues you may need to wait or try again at a later time. Staff was nice and food came out fast.

Stopped in for brunch, food was very good and restaurant was very clean. Only downside was lack of places to wait for a table, & the huge wooden room privacy divider that was in front of our table. It was constantly getting bumped & a few times I was sure it would fall on myself or my nine yr old. Our server Taylor was wonderful and very kind, we will return (but will be asking for a different table).

Most disgusting food I have ever had. Who ever cooked the food had no idea how to cook. The eggs looked and tasted fake, potatoes were half cooked mostly raw. And the sausage looked as if someone had already ate it and put it back together. The waitess we had was amazing and I could tell she felt bad. This was my second time being there. The first time I only had coffee and toast. The waitess our first visit was horrible. She was rude and snippy. If I was you I would go some where else.

Delicious food! Everything from their breakfast to their salads & burgers is wonderful! One of the best places to eat in downtown Kent! Their pancakes are unlike any pancake I have tasted at a restaurant! Their summer strawberry, grilled chicken salad is also one of my favorites! I highly recommend checking them out! I just wish they had a little bit later hours--would totally eat their for dinner!
