What an amazing find in the middle of rural Virginia. Interesting, delicious food, friendly, attentive service. And a beautiful environment. I'll be back for sure.

I went here on accident. I was looking for an event. These guys bent over backwards to help me out and get me to the place I was looking for. Being from way out of town I'm sorry I didn't have more time to stay. I love the concept and the grounds are impeccable. Food smelled wonderful and the hospitality is top notch.

Cannot say enough about this place. This area has great restaurants including a 3 Michelin star restaurant which gets a lot of attention. But Houndstooth (food, ambience, service) dwarves every single bit of acclaim as the very best it’s around. Truly amazing. You can’t and won’t be disappointed. Worth it. Will return and literally cannot say enough positive to describe the experience. A MUST go.

This place is a true gem that elevates dining to an art form. With its outstanding culinary creations, impeccable service, and inviting ambiance, this restaurant has undoubtedly secured a place in my list of all-time favorites.

We had dinner at Houndstooth Restaurant for our anniversary. It’s a Prix Fixe Menu.
The service was excellent, all five courses were outstanding . We didn’t go with the wine pairing and ordered a bottle of wine of our choice, the only down side is that they chill the red wine at 52 degrees which is pretty cold! In Spain and Italy they do not chill the red wine at all. It loses the taste. Scott who handled the whole night perfectly well is a gem. I highly recommend this restaurant.

To rekindle our marriage, my husband took me here. I'm not a fan of some of the food they offered that night( like octopus), but overall really romantic, and the servers were so sweet and so helpful. I can't dine here often, but a one-time experience with my husband was fabulous. I would definitely recommend it.

We only had breakfast here but it was really good. I dont think I've had a breakfast that wholesome in a long while. Kudos to the chef. They staff was friendly and amazing too.

If you aren't staying at Glen Gordon Manor, you should be. Having a restaurant of this quality a walk down the hall away is an absolute treat! However, even if you aren't staying at the Inn, you should 100% make reservations for the Houndstooth Restaurant. We dined here two evenings out of our three and it was an exceptional experience. Five-course menu that was VERY vegetable forward with thoughtful inclusions of protein as well. Amazing plating presentations and the staff did a wonderful job of describing each dish in detail.

This most recent experience reaffirmed why I always choose Glen Gordon / Houndstooth and Chef Dayn Smith and his staff for special occassions. This birthday celebration for my partner and very good friends was memorable for the food, the ambiance, and the perfect service. I have no idea why I would ever go to The Inn at Little Washington when I can go to Glen Gordon. My one regret is that we live far enough away that I can’t go more frequently. Highly recommend. Great food, goof service, lovely people.
