Probably my favourite pub in town. It’s old, has history and a great interior. A great selection of beers and sports always on the telly. The staff are ALWAYS really friendly, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Match days in here are choc-a-block. Great pub.
An institution. Easily one of the best pubs in Newcastle. Usually get a table or share of a table post match. Quick and good service. Great cask beer. Usually varied. 6 on Sunday night. Kept well.
Very quiet on our visit, early doors. 7/8 real ales (dearest venue of the day). Believe it was part of theatre next door. Hope they can get the ceiling dome cleaned up, it makes for a nice touch, bird droppings not needed.
