We came across this wonderful restaurant by chance when visiting Frome for the Frome Independent street market, having failed to find anywhere for lunch nearer to the centre. We were given a friendly welcome, and the service throughout was efficient, courteous and very professional. The meals we had were exceptionally good; my Ossaboca was one of the best dishes I've had in a restaurant in a long time. Very fair pricing for the quality and quantity, and the overall experience was exceptional. I've only given 4 stars for Atmosphere as it was, rather surprisingly, quite quiet when we were there. I'm sure that when it is busier the atmosphere would merit 5 stars. A shame we're not from the area; otherwise it would become a regular favourite restaurant.

We enjoyed a very good meal here. The restaurant was very busy when we visited on a Thursday and we were fortunate to get a table as we hadn't booked. The atmosphere was lively but not so noisy that we couldn't converse comfortably. We were on holiday when we visited but this is obviously a popular dining establishment with locals. If you enjoy Italian food then I would recommend Castello Restaurant.

A really lovely authentic Italian experience. The restaurant is absolutely stunning, really beautiful, clean and cosy. The staff were really friendly and very professional. The food was really yummy, my partner had the calamari to start and I had the bruschetta with goats cheese and it was really tasty, the goats cheese was a really unique take. We both had a pizza for our main, really tasty, full of flavour and you can tell the chefs love to cook, it shows through the quality of the food. If we are in Frome again we will definitely re visit as their pasta dishes loved devine and we want to try so many more things. It’s a lovely restaurant for all ages and all occasions.

My first time here but it made a good impression, I really don't like expensive busy places but this was an exception. The food was fantastic, main and dessert just wonderful but most importantly the staff all were top notch folks, especially our server, a Romanian gent who beats Fred Sirieix hands down, would go back just for his friendly and charming hosting and amazing ability to manage the floor!

Packed on a Thursday, always a good sign. Food was excellent, fresh and piping hot! The flavours superb, the waiting staff know their business especially when it comes to gluten and dairy free options. So happy we came back, and will be back for more

Didn't fancy wine and roses. So we had pizza and beer. The Peroni was cold and the pizzas were fantastic. I won't submit photos of pizzas because everyone knows what they look like. And being someone who hardly ever goes out for pizza, I can't say that they are the best in the country. But they were really good.
The staff are always friendly and professional.

Great restaurant!! The cosmopolitan cocktail was amazing. The pizzas were another level. The castello special pizza that I had was perfect in all aspects. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back. Best restaurant in Frome! Great job!

I thought the calzone was amazing! And the prawns. But how in god's name did you make such a bland spaghetti Bolognese? The Mrs was not happy at all and forced me to try it. It really was terrible. She wouldn't send it back. Her loss 🤣 I would have. The rest of the food and evening was great. Your waiter Andrew really made us feel welcome and attended to every need. We will return for new spaghetti Bolognese as that must of been a one off!
