My wife and I visited this lil charming piece of nostalgia on a trip when we were celebrating the 40th anniversary of our 1st date. The Sat. afternoon in Feb was kinda chilly but many patrons were enjoying the goods here. They offered sandwiches and chips and so many deserts that it was so hard to choose. The place was full the whole time we were there and a few people chose takeout to get their delight. There were couples waiting for a table when we departed and the crew was working relentlessly to satisfy the desires of the customers. A very neat ice cream and more facility!

Always been one of my favorite places. Got to introduce some folks to using whipped cream instead of milk in a milkshake. There was a time when I could chart my success by how often I got to come here 🤣😉. Staff is phenomenal, and you probably won't get a sandwich any faster than this. You may have to wait, if it's peak rush time. If you aren't willing to wait, you will miss out on a treat AND a blessing ❤🔥

I have been coming to Trowbridge's since I was a young child in the mid 70's. My grandmother would bring me here for a chili dog and ice cream. We moved to Texas but everytime I'm in the area, I always come back for a hotdog and ice cream. This time I brought my son. Not only is Trowbridge's a gem, their menu items are just as simple and delicious now as they were 46 years ago. Gone are the days of staff in their white uniforms but the service remains top notch. This place holds many special memories with many special people.

Trowbridge's has been in operation in the same location for over 100 yrs! It's a local favorite for sandwiches, ice cream and milkshakes. The staff is always friendly and the decor is great! We love it!

This is an awesome piece of history in the area. Menu includes food and ice cream choices. We had the Oh my Gosh, the orange pineapple ice cream, and a banana split! All were very good.

I've lived in the Shoals for over a decade and somehow this was my first experience at Trowbridge's. It's cozy and kitsch, and the food is EXTREMELY reasonably priced. I got a tomato sandwich and an orange pineapple shake and was tickled with both items. Husband got chicken salad sandwich and a butter pecan shake -- I tried his sandwich and thought it was a bit gritty, but the taste was great. Well worth stopping in for a light lunch.

Love the lady's there. All powerful, each one of them. Fast service, smiling atmosphere, I mean, who ain't smilin' when you eat ice cream? Historic photos all around makes you want to talk to people about Florence and what a long way we all have came on our own journeys.

I've had better milkshakes from fast food restaurants. Definitely not worth the $4.50 fee.
Response for Don, thank you for your follow-up question. The milkshake had a chalky/powdered texture and the size did not support the cost.
