Sunshine Grill

This was my first time going around NJ. The diner was near the hotel, and we absolutely loved it. The first time we went was for convenience, but the second was for the food and experience! It's a nice, clean local diner with welcoming workers with enjoyable and real personalities. We genuinely shared laughs with them, all the while eating delicious diner-style food. Five stars!

Okay, so this is my third review of this place. I have to say the day and the food ordered will vary with each order placed. Yesterday, Tuesday after a Monday work holiday, I ordered a BLT on rye toast with extra bacon and mayo on the side. Everything was good. Only complaint was the side of mayo had pieces of other food bits in it. We are less than 9 blocks away on the same road and the delivery fee was almost as much as the lunch order. Groovey. 🥴

I love the French toast sticks. My hubby always orders the fat dank sandwich. Don’t get the milkshakes because they taste artificial. Also the toast always come with tons of butter by default so you’ll need to ask them not to butter your toast if you don’t like it or have dairy allergies. They don’t have grits… bummer. Other than that I love this place and the staff are always pleasant

Was almost struck by the delivery driver walking into the parking lot then beeped at me when I tried to go around him then when I brought it to the attention of other employees he start yelling at me and threatening me this is no way to speak to your customers I will never return to this place again.

I had to go to the DMV nearby early in the morning so I was definitely going to treat myself to a greasy breakfast afterwards. That's when I found Sunshine Grill & Deli. I placed an order via Seamless for The Hog (pork roll, hash brown patty, egg and cheese) and it was ready for pickup before the quoted time. It was a 45 minute drive back home but it held up pretty well, and wasn't something a toaster oven couldn't fix. I opted for wheat bread (I would have wanted a roll but I was trying to be at least a LITTLE bit healthy) and it was great. The meat to cheese to egg ratio was perfect (although the wheat bread didn't hold it very well, which is usually why I get a roll - but my fault). The hash brown was a little bit lost in there because it got soggy so next time I would probably either eat it immediately, or get one on the side. Will definitely come back to try some non-breakfast items one day when I feel like I need another cheat day.

I love this spot. The menu is overwhelming, so many choices. I keep saying I'll try something different but I always get the same thing. The Hog Breakfast Sandwich. I like the neighborhood vibe here. Friendly staff and the ongoing rock videos get me all 80s nostalgic. There's also outdoor dining, that's a plus for me. Also, their hash browns!! Hot n crispy.
