First visit to The Pattenmakers Arms, Duffield, but certainly won’t be my last. The warm welcome, the food, the surroundings, (the loos), everything was impressive. Disappointingly it was rather quiet, so the ambience was a little flat, though perhaps on Thursday lunchtime that’s the norm. The place deserves to be booked up well in advance, but maybe I’m spoiling my chance of dining in the future. Can’t believe I’d not heard of it reopening before now. Highly recommend. A word of warning, it has very little on site parking so be prepared to park a little way away.

Good food, service a little slow.
Just so noisy., we were a party of 6 & difficult to have a conversation. Some additional soft furnishings may help?

What a fantastic place. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. Every course was outstanding. Don’t take the front of the pub at face value. As soon as you walk in the beautifully tiled floor in the bar area shines bright and the experience begins. Give it a try and treat yourselves.

We tried the Pattenmakers Arms and were really impressed. The food was great, some lovely combinations. I had the special of the scallops with chorizo to start and the stone bass. My fiancé had the whipped goats cheese and a steak. We had the side of beetroot and feta. All great. The staff were friendly and the dining area was light and airy. Really enjoyed our evening.

Incredible food (we had the Sunday beef menu) , great service, and was brilliant with our little girl that had just woken up from a nap and wasn’t in the best of moods 🙄 but from the second we walked in made a fuss of her making her a cocktail (😉) and some colouring which changed her mood instantly and made our evening run a lot smoother 😂, it’s the little things that make a huge difference.

We had a lovely dinner at Pattenmakers. Every single dish, from starters to desserts, has been absolutely amazing. Fresh ingredients, well balanced and designed tastes, and all cooked to perfection. We couldn’t be happier. Our fav was the Pan fried halibut with caviar and lobster bisque, but honestly everything else was just as wonderful. Service was very good too - very attentive and friendly. :)
The price might not be the cheapest but for the quality and standard it has, it’s well worth it in our opinion. We will definitely come back again! Highly recommended.

Lovely new fresh feel to the place, lovely restaurant area with friendly staff, only been open a month or so when we went so still ironing out a few things and finding there flow. But really nice food. (Look out for the VAT)
