Newk's Eatery

I've only been here once so far. The place appeared nice and clean, and the staff was very nice! I got the "Grilled Steak Sandwich" with "fresh fruit" for $8.99. The sandwich itself was pretty good! The cooked onions were amazing on the sandwich, the bread was very good, and the meat was good, but not 'medium rare' and indicated on the menu. The fruit was...fine, but didn't seem all that 'fresh'. If the fruit had been a little fresher and the meat had actually been medium rare, I would definitely be giving it a solid 5 STARS! Definitely a good place for sandwiches, especially for the price, and I would certainly order this again!

1st time here and the pizza was soooooo good!!! Spacious, clean and cozy restaurant, friendly employees and great customer service!!! I will most definitely be back to try a different entree!!! My daughter had the Newk's Q and mac n cheese and it was good as well!!! I will recommend trying this restaurant if you haven't already!!

Good social distancing and mask wearing! Unfortunately they are not as worried about the health effects on the non-human animals used in their food. They pride themselves on customizability, so I felt safe ordering a pizza with cauliflower crust and no feta cheese. They substituted feta with mozzarella against my requests. I went from ordering what I thought was a plant based pizza, to paying for a pizza that utilized excretions from exploited/murdered non-human animals. There is no reason to default to foods that rely on animal abuse in 2020 in the western civilization we live in. Some vegan cheese would go a long way, but at the very least they should not assume that someone wants cheese if they specify that they want no cheese.

Pandemic fever? IDK. The food was delicious, but the margarita pizza was very sloppily prepared with tomatoes piled on only about half of the slices. We ordered a pizza and desert to split... Because we weren't looking for leftovers. We were brought an extra plate, but one set of plasticware with one napkin. We ate outside at the only table that was open that was clean, despite two customers in the restaurant. Hubby made it nice by spooning me bites of cake, which is cute and entertaining for about two bites. Lol
