Dark Side Chocolates

Absolute MUST VISIT while in Denmark. Well worth the travel. The dark chocolate caramel ganache tart is rich and delightful. Let John’s handmade truffles take you and your tastebuds to another realm. We got boxes of chocolates for ourselves and as gifts. John has a story to tell about winemaking and then chocolate making. Amazing guy with tons of experience.

A hidden gem in Denmark. So glad discovered it couple yrs ago while visited visitor centre. Its the best chocolate I had in WA. The flavour combinations were extraordinary. Personally love the Shiraz blended with roasted beetroot truffle & the mascarpone blue cheese with quince one are just high ended experience!! I had never ever eaten before. They have wide range options. Not only chocolate but ice creams, tarts, hot choc, sauces etc. Plus vegan & dairy free chocolate as well. So for the family member have the lactose intolerance can also try something out. Very friendly staff as well.

Very disappointed to be honest. Walked in with a funny jibe about the “automatic doors” needing to be opened by hand which the owner, I’m assuming, jibed back but that’s where it ended. No friendly chat about the chocolates or any banter you expect from an establishment such as this he just continued to sit there doing his crossword so we left and went to Paw Prints instead.

The chocolates were very unique and different with very different flavours. I bought about 8 flavours that I had never tried before. The service could have been better and it would have been great if we could have sampled some of the chocolate before buying. This was high end truffle stuff. Prices were around 3 and a bit dollars per truffle.
