Food was piping hot ( so hot the handle of my knife had melted to the skillet by the time it was set down infront of us), full of flavor and served in big portions. The atmosphere was colorful and full of unique touches.
Unfortunately, the service was not good.
We entered an empty dining room and were seated at tiny, unlit table next to the bathrooms with a broken open katsup bottle and a servers spare apron tucked in with us. Our server had no interest in explaining the specials. We came in during a notable lull, being the only table in the dining room for the first 15 minutes of our visit, so I'm at a loss for why he was in such a hurry to get away from us.

I've never been a Mexican food fan........ until now! Great meal, cool ambiance, and friendly staff. I will be back. Thanks, keep up the great work

Margaritas were excellent so was the food. My daughter had the special...enchilada verse with chorizo. She said they were a bit bland but the chorizo was excellent with lots of flavor. I had El Combo....enchilda,taco,chili relleno, tostada,rice and beans. I dont know what was different but I lived the beans. They had do much flavor. Our server was awesome. I will definitely go back another day.

Super nice people, I asked for a vegan friendly meal , they have a vegetarian section of the menu. However I asked for bean enchiladas with green sauce and it didn't disappoint I'm pretty sure more items can be made vegan friendly.

Always great food! Lots of choices and an always friendly owner and staff. I always enjoy the El Rey Azteca, I always have some left overs the next day for lunch. Lots of seating indoors and outdoors. If getting a margarita the frozen lime behind the bar is one of my favorites.

Delicious standard Mexican fare. Able to accommodate food allergies. I typically order fajitas, and tho the seasoning was lacking, the food was FRESH, so flavorful on its on. Hands down best salsa in the area!

Festive decor, but loud (poor acoustics). Friendly staff, and service for our large group was good. Was not easy to converse. Food taste and portion size was good.
