Fat Spoon Cafe

I had the Belgian waffle. It came out soggy and not crispy at all. Butter was that fake butter at the table. Coffee should be better since they are using local Community..May need to wash coffee pots more often. Sausage patty is $3. for 1. it tasted funny. I hope they are not using chef Mike back there to warm the food...meaning microwave..I know better breakfasts . just mediocre. This Chicagoan has had better breakfast.

Walked in for a quick to go order during a busy Friday morning- service was prompt, food was delicious, everyone was pleasant. Menu has lots of options as well- despite seeming a tad short staffed everyone was accommodating each customer and keeping a light atmosphere including clean! Will definitely be back.

We wanted to try Fat Spoon, so early Sunday morning we headed in expecting a wait. We were told we could sit at the bar, so promptly found seats next to an eating diner, and proceeded to wait while other tables were sat, other orders were taken, and we were forgotten about? As we got up to leave after not being served, the servers start debating about who should have gotten the bar... not sure what's going on over there, but it seems like they're sniping tables and choosing to serve certain guests over others, despite who sits down first. Maybe we'll try another location. I hear good things, but I don't have the patience to go to restaurants to only watch others get served. Won't be going to this location again 🤷‍♂️ atleast there's another on 21.

Fat Spoon has some great food with south Louisiana style. The restaurant is located inside the old Pizza Hut on Hwy 190. It's rennovated very nicely on the inside tho. It's a cozy place, very clean as well. Decorated cafe style. Don't let the outside looks scare you off. This place is well worth a try if you haven't been. The food came out quick. Service was extra friendly and helpful. Prices were fair for portion sizes. Everyone in our group liked what we ordered and will be going back for another visit. Family friendly cafe style restaurant serving breakfast all day long. Recommend.
