Uncorked

Stopped in for lunch at 1pm this Saturday. Nice ambiance that is the 2 stars, we walked in witnessing the waitress & bartender eating off a plate of loaded chips behind the bar & then watched that same plate delivered to paying customers! We were stunned, I wanted to leave but my husband didn't, needless to say I lost my appetite!

One of my favorite places in coshocton!! The atmosphere is warm and cozy, the beer and wine selection is vast! They have bands during the summer! I'm not a coffee or tea drinker, so I cannot attest to their quality but the selection is huge. They also have a food and snack menu that will fit anyone's taste buds. You see all age groups here. The staff is always courteous and fast.

The atmosphere and service were good and they had a pretty good selection of beer and wine. However the food was less than desirable. The spinach artichoke dip was served in the plastic bowl it was heated up in by the microwave and the pizza was made on frozen crust. The onions and peppers on the Philly were not even cooked or grilled. The sides that came with the sandwiches were all store bought as well. Not what I expect for the price we paid.

Very disappointed. We stopped for a bottle or 2 of wine to enjoy later in the evening on Sunday, Mother's Day. It was 4:00 and staff was getting ready to close - AT 5:00. They made sure everyone who walked through the door knew they were closing in an hour! Pretty much a "pick something and leave" attitude. I picked a wine and my husband and I decided to have a glass prior to picking a bottle. The woman (very unfriendly) thought I was stealing the bottle in my hand, i was actually heading to the bar for a seat. I went to counter when she called me over. She gave us a wine list - upon the urging of the young guy working. I mentioned my husband liked sweet wine, so every time I picked one, she declared it was dry, in a warning unpleasant tone. While we were looking at the menu she stared at us - she may as well been tapping her foot in impatience. I finally gave up and got what he had. If it was not for the younger guy there who tried VERY hard to overcome her rudeness, we would have walked out. He was really awesome. After our wine was chilled and glasses finished I walked back over to the wine display and was going to get a nice white pinot - my husband was standing by the pay bar area, the woman rudely asked "are you done?" He mentioned I was getting another bottle. That was it for me. They can keep their wine - I was not going to buy another thing from this establishment. Cutting my losses, I paid and we left. Too bad, I have been known to walk out with half a case or so when the mood strikes. We have not been to Roscoe in a few years, and will be sure to not make it a destination in the future. So disappointed.

Took a Sunday drive to Roscoe Village and decided to get lunch. Customer Service should be rated -0- but Food and Atmosphere is Great! We decided to eat outside since it was a sunny Fall day. We went in to the Counter and basically got ignored. When someone showed we had to ask for a lunch menu...none were visible or offered. We were then told that the 2 employees that were there to wait on guests had to "make a delivery" and we waited some more. The atmosphere of the restaurant/wine bar was great! The food we received was very good. At least 2 potential customers came and asked us how we got our food because they went inside and were being ignored and there were no obvious signs as to where to order food. The potential customers walked out and went across the street to the Warehouse Restaurant. One other surprise...an older gentleman who seemed like he was working at the restaurant kept coming out of smoke breaks. We are non smokers and never dreamed that someone would be puffing smoke at us during our entire outdoor lunch. If you are a non smoker I would recommend eating inside where smoking laws would prevent him from doing so inside.
