Hadn't been to the Como pub in years because of a terrible meal experience. OMG What bloody AWESOME meals they have now. The outdoor dining area is just beautiful and the service is exceptional. The overall look is classy yet its extremely warm and welcoming. I ordered the Thai Seafood Yellow Curry, it was amazing and the presentation was 5 stars. My friend had the Fish and Chips and it was fantastic. The size is spot on and the prices are very reasonable. I will absolutely be going back with out a doubt. If 10 stars was an option.... That's what I would have rated them.

Had Sunday lunch here. Was quite busy but service and food was good. Plenty of room inside the restaurant. Had great atmosphere, that summer vibe and feeling still. Only 4 stars, because I prefer an option of side of mash and veggies.

Great venue,, lovely outside garden setting with shade. Food is delicious and very well priced. Staff where friendly and attentive. Overall had a really good relaxing afternoon, will definitely be back again.

Excellent. We all loved it. Great refurbishment of the Good old Como Hotel. We had pres in the bar area then moved to restaurant. Make sure you book. The lamb chops were divine and very surprised to get 4, great serving size. Very pleasant afternoon. Recommend.

Very very disappointed with my dinner on the 23/1/20, I ordered the fisherman's plate that has Barramundi, squid and baby octopus. The fillet was not barramundi and it had been a frozen other fish fillet. The octopus was off, and the squid would have been a huge squid, big thick strips...….Not my kind of food. I handed up eating some of the side chips, $32 wasted.

Basic pub menu - decent prices. Stuffed up the wine order but was a busy night. Could not make a dirty martini - can only make cocktails on menu! Cheeseburger spring tolls were AMAZING and what gave them a 3 star.

Came here with the family to try Wednesday steak night. Was not disappointed. Portion was decent and steak had the char grilled flavour. Smattering of chips, great they offer mash & vegetables as an option too. Service and manager was friendly. Decor hasn't changed but good to see many tables filled. 3.5 out of 5.0

Seems to be in terminal decline. The interior is tired, the retro theming is now just old, lighting is glaring and the quality of food practically inedible. Took the family for a birthday dinner and actually would have had a better experience at Maccas. RIP Como.

Not impressed with the food here. Partner enjoyed his steak special of the day, but my calamari was very oily and over cooked, and so was my cauliflower dish - it was almost burnt and all I could taste was oil. I very rarely don’t finish my meal but I couldn’t eat either of my dishes. The place was packed so maybe I just ordered the wrong thing, but it puts me off going back as there are many ones choices in the area.

Came here as a group to grab dinner and drinks. Dinner was the chicken schnitzel, it was ok. Not particularly good nor bad. Given that kinda quality it was a pricey meal. Bottles of wine were decently priced compared to other places. Service was decent.

We celebrated a family birthday here on the weekend. The food platters were great - chicken skewers, cold meat salad wraps, hot chips, pizza pastries there were a couple more but I can't remember. A few big TVs inside to watch the footy. Staff were nice to deal with, we told them there would be little kids attending and they put out some colouring in books to keep them entertained. Great place to have a party.

It had been a long time since I had eaten at the Como so thought we'd give it a try for dinner. The positive was the wait staff were friendly and polite. The food and atmosphere let this place down. It was very hot in the area we were in (off to the side) with no air-conditioning.....I can't imagine what it's like in summer. It felt like we were seated on a dancefloor (perhaps we were) so it lacked any atmosphere as there were huge gaps of open floorspace like a hall. It was quite busy so I could have excused the seating if the food was good but unfortunately it was very poor pub food. Pizza Base doughy and uncooked, calamari sloppy, chips undercooked...fish was decent. Burger was okay but in the main the 6 adults were very underwhelmed with the food. Its around $20 to $30 a main, there is a kids menu. We were looking for a relaxed pub meal - the Como did not deliver. There are many other bistros and pubs offering similar fayre - so the Como won't be on my list of pub grub choices. Shame as the waiters were very nice and attentive hence the 2 Star rather than 1.

Had my daughters birthday lunch at the como on sunday. Food was nice and the American Diner menu had some nice options. I had the 60s burger and was yum, pattie was slightly over cooked, but the bacon and sauce were great. Kids chicken burger was great especially ss it had a real chicken breast, not processed meat. Service was friendly, however despite a 20% full restaurant we still had to go searching for service a few times. We will be back.

Been here a few times over the past couple of years. Regrettably, it is now just another venue that the ALH Group has done its best to ruin. It's very sad that so many iconic pubs have been bought by this group and turned into mediocre venues. Tip 1: A club sandwich should be a tasty snack with fresh bread and generous fillings (including bacon, egg and fresh iceberg lettuce). It should not be a slice of chicken fillet, tomato and lettuce or was it rocket (maybe some cheese?) that has been cafe pressed for at least ten minutes so that the contents merge into one another and become dry and tasteless. Tip 2: Frozen crumbed squid rings do not taste good, especially when they are sitting on a "salad" of mixed leaves that do not have a dressing, but are sprayed with aerosol oil. Tip 3: When one of your customers is clearly unhappy and described why they have not eaten their salad, don't insult them by offering a free coffee that they don't want. Our wait staff were pleasant, but this can never make up for the lack of care or concern with the food offered. (Check out TripAdvisor for some more current and accurate reviews).

This is a fine place for a relaxed evening meal in the neighbourhood. We ordered the entree squid and salad and the fish and chips, both of which were very nice. Drinks are ordered at the bar and food at the counter. We forgot to combine the two as it is in the Entertainment book and only remembered when ordering food. Regardless, it's pretty good value and the service is good too.

Posting on behalf of colleagues and I who had a get together here last week. Steak nights so there were steaks all round and we all agreed they were great value and delicious. The serving sizes were excellent. A few folk had something different and the reports for the Caesar salad and stuffed capsicum were good too. The soft drinks are a bit overpriced in my opinion but that's where the money is when everyone is ordering the specials.

Felt like a quick and cheap meal and remember driving past and seeing daily specials at the Como pub. Show up and to my surprise it was steak night, jackpot! Ordered the steak with red wine jus, medium rare and a chicken schnitzel. Both meals came with a decent side of salad but small portion of fries. Steak was cooked perfectly and the sauce added some good flavour. The schnitzel came with a golden crumb and a garlic butter that packed some punch. Once it melted over the chicken and fries, damn it was tasty. Good cheap pub feed. Will be back to test the other cheap deals. Place was packed!

I had rung to book a table only to discover that it had not been written in the book. The staff were not helpful and suggested that I had not booked the table. When we ordered our meal the entree came with the main meal & one of the meals had burned chicken. We brought this to the attention of the staff who were not very sympathetic or helpful!

Have had some good experiences at the Como before - but on a recent Monday night our experience was very poor. Ordering drinks at 7pm - the kegs are all out of the on-special beer. Ordered chilli fries and wedges. Was told wedges were not available, but sweet potato fries would be a good substitution. Was delivered two plates of normal fries, one with some peri peri salt on it, no sweet potato in sight. My Margherita pizza was undercooked to the point of consuming uncooked dough from the base. My friend’s gnocchi had a poor consistency and texture, tasting like potato mush with a bland sauce. Years ago I had some amazing pizza at a function here - with feta, pumpkin and spinach. What happened?!?

Tonight we had the prawn pizza, chicken parmigiana and the kangaroo with sweet potato & baby zucchini (with onion rings on the side). Photos of all attached. My kangaroo was truly awesome! Perfectly cooked, juicy and an absolute delight to eat. Unfortunately my partner's pizza was a bit ordinary (too few prawns, with a doey base). My son had the parmigiana which he said was good, but a bit dry (he loved the garlic sauce on the side though). We used the new Clipp app and we were dining with a group of friends which meant we saved 40%. Absolutely awesome deal! Last October we also used the Como as a venue for my partner's 40th birthday. They were actually pretty great and I'd recommend the venue and party catering services to others Edit: came back here Friday night for dinner and had a very average veg stack and a combo plate. Service was good, but it would have been nice to be offered the dessert menu. The Clipp app stuffed up and caused a bill splitting nightmare (not the Como's fault). Overall not a great experience this time, but we would give it another go after quite a few good experiences. It's a really large venue and well suited to bigger groups.

We come here as work colleagues every so often either for a drink or for dinner. All our experiences with staff and food have been good. Today we went for a quick celebratory drink over some chili chips. We picked a nice Spanish Tempranillo which was a pleasant red, and the chips came out crisp with tomato sauce and an aioli. All of us went home happy, and we will come back.

Not sure what's going on with the Como food wise but it's no longer what it used to be food wise. Nice and chill if you're looking for a beer and hangs, but keep it to that in my opinion. Had the roast on my last visit and I found the meat quite dry and lacking flavour. The vegetables were okay but nothing too exciting. Keep it to Sunday sessions!

Such a shame! The como used to be a lovely local which you could take your family to. The menu tried to be a bit adventurous and the kids were always well catered for with meal/ drink/dessert for $10. But I wouldn't go back - the menu has changed for the worse. Parma and chips, fish and chips, squid and chips. Reminds me of roadhouse food. Not a special night out. Big shame!

Mixed feelings about this place…have had meals which were a hit and miss and ordering a drink almost 80% of the time takes 10minutes and the bar staff nearly always look lost and confused and can't remember over a 2 drink order…When asked what the specials on food today were, they had no knowledge..Quite unusual as this place has specials nearly every day of the week..dated decor…toilets are disgusting and needs a reno i.e. taps off sinks and broken toilet seats..only go here now for major sporting events..

Was a bit sceptical about this place because of the reviews and it's been years since I visited. But from the moment we walked in without reservations the service was friendly and we were immediately seated (though it wasn't packed, unlike the old days here!) and served. I talked my partner into the graziers plate so I could steal some of his, and I had the twice cooked pork with rice and Asian glaze. The serves were huge and both were delicious. Of course I tasted all the graziers plate and the pie was especially yummy. My pork was also delicious. After such huge meals we couldn't fit dessert in! Would definitely return.

I hate giving bad reviews but here goes. If you want to knock a couple pints back with the fellas it's a great place to hang out. If you want to order food, definitely go on a specials night as the regular pricing can be up there. You're looking at about $40 for a steak meal with mash and veggies. My last steak was probably 70% inedible chewy bits. The boyfriend had a seafood platter and even though it was all deep fried, it wasn't too bad. The price was probably the only bad thing about it. They have $15 food and pint nights which I would recommend if you wanted something cheaper. Standard menu pricing can be tolerated if the food was higher standard.

Food was good. Service shocking. Overcharged for drinks. Pointed this out to staff who had to call in management to confirm. Water at table had foreign body in it. Had to get that changed. Had to attract waitress for second drink. She acknowledged us but then ignored us. Second waitress took our order, she went twice behind the bar and only on the third time did she come back with the drink. I timed her. Seven minutes. Service is shocking. That's our second visit there. We went to see if our first visit was a one off (that was a disaster but I didn't know then about reviews). Never again.

Yet another overpriced Perth pub. The Como's once eclectic interior is now old and run down, and in certain sections outside, in need of a clean/makeover. The serviced I've received has always been friendly and the food and drinks served in a reasonable time frame. The quality of food can be hit and miss however, and keeping with the Perth theme, grossly overpriced. My tandoori chicken pizza was very nice, cooked perfectly, and tasted fresh. My friends dish was not so good, with very fatty, poor quality meat...also at top dollar. So, be prepared for a wallet buster if going with the family, and a fairly narrow menu range.

Overpriced rubbish. We ordered the beef and veg pie and black Angus steak. The pie came out topped with a dark sauce that failed to disguise the fact that the pie lid was slightly burnt. The filling had nice tender meat and veg and fairly tasty . However for $28 for a serve it didn't live up to the price tag. My husband had the steak with mash and salad and asked for peppercorn sauce. We also ordered the added garlic prawns for $10 extra. What a disappointment! He are his half as we share, saying it wasn't good and quite salty. He doesn't like to complain . When Zi took over the dish and tasted it, I could not eat it. I had 2 slices of the steak and thought it was tender it was over seasoned. The sauce tasted like a thicker version of the sauce poured on the pie with added pepper. It tasted so salty it was almost vegemite! The mash was also super salty. When I complained the 3 chefs said it was fine . Utter waste of $38 for the steak as I should've just bought a good cut of meat and cooked it myself . The garlic prawns were ok. They tried to compensate us by offering coffee and cake which we refused and took the price of our drinks , lemon, lime and bitters off . What happened to that really nice place I came to for chilli mussels just over a year ago ?

Como Hotel. We had the steak which was cooked as requested and tender. Our waitress was lovely .. refreshing to be served by a friendly person. The big let down was the dessert .. would of been much nicer if the apple pie was warmed up and taken out of the foil case and perhaps served with cream or custard and i highly recommend the raspberry and coconut slice be removed from the menu!! Overall a lovely atmosphere and i would be happy to go back for a meal without the dessert.

Too hard to get a beer. When you can't get served at the bar and the pub is not busy you know that your local has gone drastically downhill. Staff seem to change frequently and generally have no desire to provide an acceptable level of service, buying a beer at the Como is not a pleasant experience !! I hope that somebody at ALH reads the reviews on this site as they give a fair reflection of consumers views of the Como hotel.

Complete Garbage. The best part of the place is the bloke who plays his guitar and sings on a Friday evening.And the other positive is the friendly guys and girls that wander around collecting glasses and asking if they can get you something.. that is a good bit but it goes downhill very quickly from here. Bar Manager learn how to run a bar and have staff that know who is next to be served after waiting for ages because that's what real bar staff do!!! or maybe used to do... And the "are ya right" bit may cut it at McDonalds but lift your game, most grown ups don't respond very well to that style... The food is about on par with McDonalds but only a lot pricier. It'd be interesting if Rob Broadfield from the West to did an article on the Como... Would his score be greater than 2..??? I doubt it. Better still, Woolworth organisation stick to supermarkets and sell the Como to someone that is passionate about running a pub and who cares about its patrons that are paying.. its not free so at least treat the customer with a bit of appreciation. Its a shame that the Como has deteriorated to the level it has.. it used to really go off... the only thing that is off now is the Como.. -----28 Oct, 2013----- Average !!. The Como used to be a pub that sold drinks and you could get good pub-grub. It is now and has been for a long time primarily a food outlet where you can get a drink. Not cheap pub-grub and nothing special at all. Service has its moments but generally ok and mostly cheerful and friendly staff. It is what it is and not what it perceives itself to be. Not bad for a drink if you can get a table that hasn't been reserved for the foodies or you don't mind standing in a queue to order or pay. Its ok but average.

Really disappointing. The Como is our local hang out and for the last 3 times we have been it has been very disappointing. The back yard bar is in need of a face lift, the tables are dirty and the chairs un-even. The food menu is dated, the service patchy and the wine list really expensive for what you get. This place could offer so much more to the locals but desperately needs a major over haul! Such a shame.

Dinner Ruint By Fowl Mouthed Chef. So I, my husband and 3 children decided to go out for an affordable family dinner at the como as we quite regularly have our family dinners there. This time however will be our last. Whilst enjoying our meal we ended up cutting it short. Apart from the constant bell being rung nonstop the language from what I’d guess to be the head chef standing behind the food dispense area was just disgusting! My 6yo is now saying several bad words that we don’t use in our household at all. The volume of these rude words was completely unnecessary. I previously worked in hospitality as a Restaurant Manager for over 5 years, I’ve come across loud angry chefs in the past but for the entire restaurant and my kid’s ears to hear this was utterly atrocious. And no person should have to deal with that sort of language upfront. Because of this we ended our meal then and there, especially when my 4yo asked what one of the words meant, awkward. The German girl that served as when we went to pay our bill was just lovely, she asked us how our meal was and apologised that we had to end it early and even offered us a discount for the disruption. The wait staff were also very nice and attentive. So i don't see why persistently ringing a bell for every plate put out is necessary when they from my eyes seemed to be doing a great job. It’s very sad to know that such friendly staff and accommodating venue let us down by the language spewing out from that chef. We most likely won’t return unless our friends that also go there let us know that the language has stopped.

First and last time. My partner and I dropped into the Como for a meal around 6.30pm on a Tuesday night. We went to the bar placed my order and then waited for 5 minutes, one we got our drinks and paid, we tasted our drink and the coke was flat and overly sweet. I advised then we would like replacement drinks and then waited over 20 minutes whilst watching the bar staff running around, going up and down the stairs to the cellar. I was then advised that the gas line was broken and our drinks would be with us soon. The manager on duty then told us that seone had gone to the IGA to buy coke. We were not offered another drink and then when my boyfriend asked for a couple of beers on the house he snapped back "I'm not paying for your drinks". He offered my money back which I gladly accepted. We will not be going back to the Como!

Dissapointing. Both times I came here I didn't end up finishing my meals. Fist I had a steak sandwich was was rubbery with some awful sauce. Chips were burnt and sloppy. Second time i had the Pork belly which was basically a plate of cheap cut duck fat SMOTHERED in an unbearable sauce. Staff aren't as attentive as they should be either. Such a shame for a place that has a lot of potential.

Not superb but OK enough food (chips were good enough, salmon was good but recommend you ask them to undercook it, pumpkin pizza was OK) but surely value for money with the free kids or free mums on Tuesdays ...

Give up if you can't cook chips. Seriously, the manager and kitchen staff here need to sacked. They can't even fry chips. The Como used to lead the way with their food. They are now the worst pub in the city of South Park. At 4pm we received a basket of chips that look like they had been sitting in the chip warmer since 11am, seriously they were disgusting dark brown cardboard. I don't know how it is possible to make garlic aioli taste stale but the kitchen at The Como managed it - well done. Seriously if I owned this place I would clear out all of the kitchen staff (and perhaps the manager) because you don't want the cancer of indifference spreading to the new staff. Seriously, avoid this place for any form of food unless you have sub-bogan taste buds.

Impressed. Went here for lunch with my 5 year old daughter. Staff were very helpful in finding us a table when it was very busy. Lovely lady (maybe manager?) bought out a kids pack- big hit with the little one. Ordered quickly at the counter and the service was friendly. Food came out super fast, kids fish and chips and a burger for me. All nice except chips were slightly over cooked in my opinion. Would definitely go back again.

I waited and waited at the bar to be able to one beer just one first beer. The Mohawk barman walked off when I was the last person remaining to be served. 10 minutes later I am still waiting and gave up. Thanks for the crappy Melbourne Cup experience.

Terrible Experience. My husband, myself and 4 year old daughter made a reservation for 6:30pm and come 7:50 still no food bought to the table not even our entree and not even the childs meal. We had to go up to the bar and get self service for beverages as we were not getting any table service. Shocking place - will never go back. Lacks absolutely everything

The staff have no clue how to treat customers, always waiting ages to get a drink even if there's know one else waiting... Twice now I've made an order for food and it's never shown up.. Probably the worst pub I've bin to which is a shame as it has loads of potential.. Well I live 2 minutes from como and I'm actually going to go out my way to avoid it in the future, had enough!

What the hell has happened to The Como? It used to get a crowd, be quite a pleasant hang-out and somewhere to get a pretty decent meal. Something has gone horribly wrong. There is zero atmosphere now (unless you want to hang out somewhere akin to Sizzler) the meals are cheap, nasty, basic-yet-still-screwed-up fare and could someone please tell the guy on the register to button up and tuck in his shirt properly. I've never seen such a slovenly floor staff. The waiter named Steele was this place's only saving grace. He was charming and helpful. I'm actually embarrassed what the Como has become.

As regulars of the Como we've always felt the low urban spoon rating was way off, having had all positive experiences here. Today was a disappointing experience and one hopefully we won't have again. We ordered the antipasto plate and the squid (both starters). Squid came out so deep fried, sickly sweet and chunky, it was inedible. The antipasto plate which promised cured meats, feta and olives with toasted Turkish breads and dips was revolting. Ham and salami that has clearly come out of a pre-cut package and was something you would see in a kids sandwich - the ham was thick cut with a slimy appearance and had fat and gristle all through it. Salami was tasteless and you could see the indentations of where it had been peeled off the piece next to it in it's package. Similar story for the prosciutto which was dry at the edges but slimy in other parts and no attempt had been made to trim any of the fat of the 1 and a half pieces. The feta consisted of 3 small dried pieces and the olives.. Again... 3 small dry olives that were tasteless. The bread wasn't Turkish bread but the same bread they use for the steak sandwiches, toasted and dry. We eat out frequently and are accustom to paying Perth prices for f&b but we felt utterly ripped off that for $27 we got the absolute bottom of the barrel offering. The table next to us also ordered the same thing and their reaction to the plate was similar to ours. Please sort out your inventory for a Sunday or take the antipasto plate off the menu if you can't offer a reasonable product.

Two chances to succeed, sadly two failures. I have an appreciation for good pub food. But the Como keeps letting me down every time. The service is pretty poor and after waiting a long time to be served to order my meal, and then a very long time for our plates to be cleared I left feeling quite disappointed. My first visit a few weeks ago, I ordered the Caesar salad, a simple dish right? A classic. But it was pretty awful. The eggs were hard boiled and cold, not poached as they should be. The dressing was cheap and not made in house. It was very below average. On my second trip to the Como I ordered the chicken wrapped in prosciutto with mushroom risotto. The plating of this dish is very impractical as they sit the salad on top of the chicken and then on top of the risotto its quite hard to eat. The chicken was dry and very bland. The mushroom risotto was not cooked well at all. It was almost a soup with hard rice, the rice had not absorbed the liquid. Also it had no flavour of mushrooms all I could taste was onion. It was terrible. Como I think you need to hire a new chef because these are quite simple dishes that you shouldn't be getting wrong.

This place is very inconsistent. The staff are generally it helpful- usually because they seem to be over worked or poorly trained. The food is very inconsistent and very much a great display of things you can buy frozen and dress up on the plate. Nice space, summers outside, winter in front if the fire. Management need to keep things in check and either improve the food or reduce the prices

Living down the road, it's always an easy option. The staff turnover seems quite high, but I think you'd expect that at a pub. All of my experiences have been good except for one time I ordered a steak med rare and it came out well done. For all the times I've been, that was forgiven and they quickly rectified the problem. The mains are of a good size and their chips are great. Recommended.

Disappointed. Last night a group of 6 of us booked and went for dinner. We had seen the "Guinness Pie' offer on the web site and had down loaded a couple of vouchers. When we inquired about 'the pie' we were told they weren't on the menu. As the date on the voucher was until March 31 we thought this a bit poor. Anyway - we went on to order meals but consistently across our table we were disappointed. The Beef Thai salad beef was very tough even if the flavour was OK. Fish dry and over cooked in the Fish & Chips. Pork belly was soft and no crackle at all and the garlic sauce on steaks very ordinary. This place used to be great for a casual meal but not last night!

I just had the fishermans basket and unfortunately it was the worst I have ever experienced. Everything was over cooked. The prawns were hard, the fish was hard, the squid was rubbery, even the chips were not good. For $31 it was frozen fare fried up poorly. My wife had the pasta and that was also poor. I know it's a pub but they should be able to work a fryer.

Dismal Service. Met a friend here for lunch last Friday. First impression was that there is no signage telling me its the Como Hotel, apart from a sign so high you almost have an accident trying to look at it. No other signage on the building. I now wish I had missed it. Second impression was that the serving staff seemed to be in a huge rush, despite it not being all that busy. Turns out that the wait staff were just rude, had no idea of what customer service is and we, as a paying customer, were just an inconvenience. The dress standard was poor, and since when are facial body piercings and tattoos so excessive they would scare a child, ok? Shame, as the food was ok. Bit expensive for pub grub, but they could have got away with the price if we were served in a cordial manner. Both my friend and I went out of our way to be nice, yet they still did not get the message. Examples - The wait person came to our table as we were sitting down and getting settled in our seats and said "You know what you want?" When we asked for a few more minutes to decide, we got eye rolling and a loud sigh. We hurried up and made a quick decision, to which we were greeted "ok". The food was plonked heavily on the table. The wine was left in the bottle un-poured. They did however come back to the table and take the cap off and leave it there? Not sure why? When I asked a passing wait person if we could have some more water, we were told " In a minute, these people (gesturing to the poor couple next to us) want their coffee. When I am finished I will get your water". I only asked ... and I said excuse me, could we please have some more water? Body language of other patrons and a few caught glances, told us that we were not being singled out for the poor service. When I went to pay the bill, I asked if I could have a cup of coffee (we were actually moving into the lounge area as they seemed to want the tables to lay for dinner, despite it being 3pm). I was told "we don't do takeaway." “That's ok, I am drinking it here", to which she told me I had to tell her where we would be sitting as she "can't go around hunting for me!" I went and located a place we would sit, pointed it out and she proceeded to give me a table number on a tall pole. There were not that many people in the lounge area, so I wasn't hard to find!. I find this kind of poor service comes from the management. The staff seemed very angry, did not want to be there at all, and made that clear to their customers. I would NEVER go back to this place, and I certainly would NEVER recommend it to anyone. Funny that when I recounted my experience to friends and work colleagues, they had all had similar experiences - so it wasn't a one off bad day. There are too many places to eat in Perth to put up with this rubbish. Poor work Como Hotel, very poor work indeed. PS: The one exception was the maitre de. He had lovely manners and worked hard.

Went with a large group booking (20 of us) and I didn't hear anyone say they enjoyed their food. I ordered the pork belly on Asian slaw, pork was tough and chewy, and hardly any 'slaw' underneath....don't put pork belly on your menu if you can't cook it properly! Even my partner thought his fish n chips was average....usually an 'easy' meal that's hard to get wrong for chefs in pubs. Also the service was only OK....a smile from the waitresses would be nice.

Just go for a drink, don't order any food. Went there yesterday with four people. The service was bad and the lady who showed us our table gave me the impression that she hates her job big time. Sat down in a very windy aircon corner. Three of us ordered the steak, one ordered the pumpkin salad. I think I never had a worse steak in my life. I couldn't even cut it and it was full with chunks of fat and chewie bits. I am still surprised that it didn't make me sick the day after.. The pumpkin salad wasn't available so my vegetarian wife was forced to choose the chilli shrimps which was also very average. The only good thing was the variety and the choice in beer; Hop Hog is simply the best at the moment. Won't ever eat there anymore though. -----10 Jan, 2014----- Nice beer but disapointing food

We had lunck today on monday 9/12/13. not mant people there. looks like not busy at all. we order como plate thai salad and pasta of the day. como plate was ok. just tazki was horrible. thai salad was really bad. pasta was over cook and really small frozen cheap prown they use for that. so bad all the food was very bad. it was my 3rd time go there. all the time diappoint naver go again for food

Had dinner here. Ordered a parmi and it came out fridge cold on the inside! Quite clearly a meal pre cooked and shoved under a grill just to melt the cheese. Could have at least made sure it was hot! Second one was hot but still awful. Waitress could have been less rude considering they served me cold food. Won't be returning.

Prior to making a booking, we called to check T&C of a voucher to be told it was fine and if any problems to ask for this person. Got to hotel and they reneged. Told them we wouldn't be back again or book any more functions with them. Happily sitting at a hotel not owned by Woolworths now spending twice as much. Pathetic.

Pretty Good. I really like the Como, I am surprised by the low rating on here, and teamed up with an entertainment book voucher it is good value, although stand alone I think the prices probably are a little high for the food quality. I always go for a salad here, they are hefty and always fill me up without being laden in oily dressing or fatty ingredients which defeats the point of me ordering a salad. My partner tends to go for a steak or ribs and has always enjoyed the food also.The garlic bread is always a generous serve, way too much for too (although we always work through it) . This place certainly is better than a lot of pubs in the South Perth area, and I have always managed to get a last minute seat without a reservation. Tuesdays are great as the second meal is half price, teamed up with a movie its a good value night! Its worth checking out!

Pretty damn good- great vibe. Been here a few times on different days and nights of the week. Always a great friendly vibe, relaxed and fun to have a few rounds of pool with a pint of beer or cider, or watch the footy. The tasting plates are excellent- great to share with friends. Tried the Jack Daniels+Coke marinated pork ribs on special- tasted delicious, the only thing I could pick on was sauce was a bit thin. They could have simmered it down a little for a thicker texture and stronger flavour. Maybe they mixed in too much Coca Cola? Overall though it went down well.

Been here a few times, this visit was a little average. Had the tasting plate to start which was very nice. I had the rump (med) and my wife had the stuffed chicken breast & cous cous. Steak was a little on rare side and chips were soggy as had been sitting in the jus. Chicken breast was nice, little dry and overpowered by amount of cous cous. Didn't bother with dessert. Still go back there again.

...I went to the most unlikely of places. The Como. This was bizarre for a number of reasons. One being that this is the place that showed no hospitality to me for two whole years when I was younger (a story that is now old and boring) and also I am not a massive fan of the "local" pub. I know they serve a purpose - a major one being not to drink drive - but for me when I go out I look for an experience not a second home. My mate and I turned up at 8pm which is relatively late for a Tuesday dinner in a place like this. However the place was surprisingly full and the bar/pool table area was half full

Not great, not poor. Had a Sunday date night with the lady and chose the Como because it's the local and the "better half gets it for half" offer. I'd read some scathing reviews beforehand so was braced for the worst. The service is not great. Waiting a long time at the entrance before someone bothers to look up and help you then instead of being walked to our table and handed menus the guy simply pointed to a table across the restaurant and said that one's yours! I had to laugh! Having worked in hospitality for 10 years I know good (and bad) service. These guys are bad! Not rude or unhelpful just disinterested and poorly trained. The food on the other hand was pretty good. Prompt delivery, well presented and tasty (we had the herb stuffed chicken and the fish). Not to-die-for great but certainly not as bad as some of the reviews suggest. Upon paying I presented the in-app voucher on my phone and the guy had clearly not seen one before. A few phone calls to (presumably) the manager and the voucher was accepted. This place could do a lot better if the Como actually bothered to train their staff as opposed to obviously hiring staff that can simply read menus, operate a till and carry plates. Won't be back to eat - there's so many more options that are proper restaurants rather than pubs that serve food. 5/10.

DISASTER SPECIAL. We waited 20 minutes for service, then another 40 minutes for the meal. Both decided to go with the Special 250g Fillet Steak with Lobster Tail. Have eaten at the Como several times over the years and only recently as a month prior. Suffice to say this was the "worst meal" dished up to us. Food arrived and my Medium Well Steak was burnt to a crisp around the edges that it had curled up!! It was tough as old boots, the Lobster Tail looked nice but was dry and obviously had been sitting in the oven for several hrs!! The food was just slapped on the plate on top of the salad/chips. The sauce (creamy garlic) was a mear drizzle over the steak. Hubby's steak Medium was same - just as burnt and curled up!!! We refused to eat the meal and left, never to return!! Shame as it had a good name for a while where the food is concerned Doubt Steak was not 250g (as advertised in the Sunday Times 4th August to which we had a laugh about).

Stuffed Herbed Chicken is a Winner!. Went for a Sunday night family dinner & was mighty impressed with all the dishes that came out. I ended up choosing the Stuffed Herbed Chicken breast rested on a bed of cous cous & topped with this delicious pesto cream sauce OMG thinking back to it make me drool! Had a taste of the mushroom risotto (which was one of my other choices) and that was also OMG delicious although in saying that it was very lush & rich so I think would be a bit too much to eat it all. Food came out pretty fast (not a very busy night there) All & all can't wait for summer to have a meal & a beer outside in the court yard :)

Poor Food & Service. I have lived in the South Perth/Como area for +10 years and regularly visited the Como for drinks and food. After recent experiences, I no longer eat there. Had three bad experiences in 12 months: 1. Ordered porterhouse steak, received rump. Complained to waitress who took it back but kitchen denied the mistake and said it was porterhouse. You don't have to be a butcher to know the difference, after a 10 minute discussion with the manager, it was finally sorted. 2. Ordered porterhouse steak. Was blackened on one side and inedible. 3. Ordered porterhouse steak. Unbelievably they tried the old rump for porterhouse steak switcheroo on me again. I was amazed! I told the waitress I was not paying and didnt want a replacement. The third time was strike 3 for me. Very poor trying to pass off a cheaper rump twice in 12 months. Disgraceful that it could happen twice. ..

Bad Pub Food. Took our steak home for the dog (he loved it) after we ordered the steak with the red wine jus and it came out smeared in what was clearly out of the box gravy, not even a properly made gravy. Gross. Also worrying was that four of us ordered steak and one came out immediately and the other three staggered over ten minutes, doesn't take a genius to work out one was just sitting there cooked and "ready" for god knows how long. None were cooked great, and sad to say the best thing on the plate was the very average salad of a few lettuce leaves, a cherry tomato and some carrot, not dressed though... Even for pub food you expect a decent dinner, went home hungry and very unsatisfied. Lame.

After writing my review from our dinner on Monday 3rd June and totally disgusted with everything and speaking with the manager on the night who took my name,mobile no and email address saying they would be in touch very soon in regards to our complaints! surprise, surprise its now late on the 5th and no contact has been made!!! -----03 Jun, 2013----- Como hotel. Went out for a family celebration and very disappointed in the food and service. In today's climate when you pay a price for food you want the standard and the food here is well below standard, actually inedible! We had to wait to be served, wait for drinks, wait for food then when the food came out 4 out of the ten dishes ordered had to be taken back. What place runs out of mash! The paella was risotto with seafood shoved in it, barramundi wasn't barramundi, lamb rack looked and tasted like it had been hanging off a rack and the kangaroo was 4 dried up pieces served on soggy salad greens with 4 slices of dried up potatoes and kangaroo tasted like it had been stewed or s raped off the roadside!! Not impressed an certainly wont return as we do enjoy eating out on regular basis but won't be there again!

Unpleasant encounter. May I firstly say that I have eaten lunch on numerous occasions at the Como, and enjoyed them. Not so for last night's dinner! It was an unpleasant experience to say the least. We were a party of10 and waited a good 20 minutes for any sign of attention, then another 30 minutes for drinks to arrive. The food when it eventually arrived was for at least four of us inedible . Four dishes were returned to the kitchen including my barramundi. What was presented as barramundi lurking under a revolting looking sauce was definitely another species of fish. Such a disappointment especially as this was a birthday celebration meal.

Extremely underwhelming. Just returned from a dinner at Como Hotel. Booked reservation for family celebration. Waited 20 minutes for service then another 30 minutes to get our drinks. After a further 20 minutes meals arrived - Paella resembled a mix between baby food, risotto and easy mac pasta, having eaten paella throughout Spain any claim to the the title 'paella' was a stretch of the imagination. My wife ordered rack of lamb to be told the mashed potato was 'finished' and that she would have to have chips or roast potatoes instead, after to acquiescing to roast spuds and requesting the lamb 'pink' it arrived over-cooked and too dry to eat. Sister in-law ordered kangaroo fillet that arrived over-cooked and more reflective of 'road-kill' than a tender roo fillet. Mother in-law's barramundi was a questionable piece of fish... Overall despite a reservation, food and service was sub-standard. The only food that was of an acceptable standard was the the pub grub - maybe they should stick to steak sandwiches a d chips.

Saturday lunch. Our first visit in many years. It's great to see there are still some good suburban pubs and the layout at the Como is great, especially on a sunny Autumn day for lunch. The food is what you would expect for a pub - a lot of meat based dishes, big serves and good value. The staff were friendly and efficient and it was a pleasant experience.

Family Lunch. We have been before mostly for coffee and cake in the great little outdoor area but this time went for a family lunch. Service was excellent given it was 12.30 and fairly busy. My "surf and turf" was cooked to perfection and the rest of the crew all made agreeable mutterings about the value & quality I will recommend the Como to my vintage car club who are a bit choosy but the Art Deco style will win them over.

Meh. We ordered dinner at the Como tonight and it was slightly underwhelming... firstly the wedges that were ordered as a starter were cold following a miscommunication between wait staff. After that the mussels which I ordered had a scoville scale much higher than what it advertised - I am not adverse to hot food, however, this was hotter than I liked and after telling the staff it was still dismissed. My fella who can eat HOT found it hot and when we swapped meals we had to stop on the way home for him to get ice-cream. The lack of interest in addressing the problems with our meal and the poor service regarding drinks and starters made me write this (first time I have ever bothered!). Dont waste your cash!

A little hit and miss but overall good.. Came here tonight with two friends and had an awesome night. The staff were friendly, although one women at the cashier was a bit surly. I did not drink but the first waiter was enthusiastic ( a bit too lively), but he recommended what my friends could drink (I abstained tonight), and was helpful with selections. I ordered a hot latte, it came hot but was bitter, so a little disappointed there, but still drinkable. The second one was FAR better. Another waiter also came and randomly started talking to us about our psych degrees and general uni stuff, so it was quite nice of him to be friendly and inquire etc. I ordered the greek salad, it was only a side serving but it was mediocre, but still tasty. My friends ordered the 15$ steak meal, the chipslooked so delicious on there and the steaks looked fantastic. And for $15 you can't complain.

Lunch @ The Como. Had lunch here with family today and it was pretty empty considering it was Christmas Eve. I find the Como can be a hit and miss when it comes to food. I usually dine here once a year to use my Entertainment Voucher. Today I had the Warm Chicken & Pancetta Waldorf Salad and it failed to hit the spot. Not much Chicken, quite fatty Pancetta and over loaded with Celari & Apple. Others had the Lamb Chops & Chips and also the Squid Salad. Basic Pub meals at fine dining prices are probably a good enough reason to keep the crowds away. Not the best meal today, but will check it out again next year to see if the food has improved as its a great pub to have a beer or 2. Until next time ... 5/10.

Nothing about our evening from the service to the food would make me come back. Give this a miss if you want decent food and service. This place has been good in the past but no more. The service was surly, the staff were more interested in chatting to each other. The food was just outright bad. I'm not a brilliant chef but I could have made much better dishes myself. It was a work function with a choice of set menu items and all the dishes looked just as bad as each other. This kitchen really does not care about the quality of food and this lack lustre attitude is evident in all staff.

Bad service and attutude and huge prices for pub grub .Served a margarita that was an inch from the top of the glass and then told us thats how they are supposed to be served !Then 3 of them including the manager wanted to argue that they were right .Just got back from Thailand ..... boy could they teach us a lesson .Nothing is too much trouble and the customer I think would always be right ... never got to test that because tey are so good at service .Wake up Perth !

Please, please do not go to the como! I promise you, you will regret it. I have been here twice and both times I've tried to see the positives; however, there were very few. On a Saturday night the service was absolutely appauling. There appeared to be two waitstaff (one being the manager) for the entire restaurant. The food has always been beyond disappointing, with overpriced meals lacking flavour or quality (think canned ingredients!). I could deal with this if the service was decent, but I'm afraid it is shockingly poor. I am so irate that I do not even know where to begin. It was my dining partner's four time at the como and she agreed that she would never return. We would have complained loudly if it hadn't been the manager providing us with the poor service (ignoring us and then taking 20 minutes to get us a bottle of wine which she then slammed on our table!!!). Even with our 25% Off entertainment book voucher this place was overpriced, poor quality and hideously disappointing. The only positive I can find is the lovely wooden floor boards and varied dining areas. Please go elsewhere!! Mcdonalds even!

Flavorless lunch and disinterested staff. I went in today to the Como for a straightforward lunch with my wife and child. I would have to admit it was easily the worst meal I have had in Perth in a couple of years, and we go out to eat at least once a week. On ordering the beef Wellington I was told it would take 20 minutes at least. My wife was hungry so I asked that they just bring her prawns out first The disapproving waiter suggested a starter so I agreed and garlic bread came out a few minutes later. 10 minutes after we ordered the mains came out! So much for the 20 minute wait - but an excellent way to push extra food orders that people don't really want. Like most people I don't like being lied to. That is when it all started to go a bit pear shaped. The garlic bread was like 3 trendy looking pieces of toast. It tasted like dry toast with garlic - no juiciness or moisture- just dry...but it looked great! The mains were already there so we moved on to them and left the starter. The steak in the Wellington was really good. Thats where the compliments end - the mash spuds were lumpy like you might make at home on a bad day, and the vegíes were just absolutely flavorless. The food was touching an acceptable temperature. I ate the steak and left the rest. I have never done that before coz I'm a fat boy and I like my tucker...but it was that bad. My wife's plate was worse. The prawn I tried I spat out. on to my plate. They were not off, just full of water, flavorless and a horrible texture. A bit like frozen meat gets when it is fresh ... out of the freezer! When I went to pay I expressed disappointment but the guy was not interested at all - because everyone else seemed to be happy". Nice one bro, but I am not everyone else. Most of our food was still on our plate, not one member of staff had asked how the meal was while we were eating it, and I am the guy who is annoyed enough to write this review and then Tweet it - I have at last count 11 217 Twitter followers so maybe next time bro listen to your customers and start paying attention to service...because there wasn't any!

Great Pub Food. My husband and I went to The Como for dinner tonight with our two children. We were reluctant to go as every pub meal we've had lately has been piled high with chips and not much else. My kids both got fish and chips which was a perfect sized portion for a child-it was served with a nice salad too. My husband had the chicken parmagama and I had the Wagyu beef buger. Both meals were really, really good. Service was very friendly and inviting. We will definately be back.

Used to be good. We used to love coming here for big group dinners. The food was always enjoyable and service ok. But went again recently and the food was unpalatable. I don't often turn food away, but i couldnt eat the steak. I didn't think it could be saved, so i just left it and ate the vegetables. My friend ordered the lasagne which was nothing more than melted cheese and the fish and chips were greasy yet dry. I'm not sure if they've changed owners or staff, But visit with caution. It's a great little pub and the outside area is great for afternoon drinks. I just wouldn't eat dinner here again.

The food didn’t take long to arrive and I actually didn’t mind either. Wedges are pretty hard to stuff up and I thought serving side it was a generous enough amount. The base of the pizza was really nice and light, probably thicker than I normally have these days, but not deep dish or anything, and it had a pleasantly fluffy centre. The toppings were nice…. I often find with vegies like this and also pesto that it gets to a point where I just max out on that same flavour. Fortunately this really only happened on my last slice.

Good Wokkin At Lunch!. Sundahy lunch a table of 10. Must commend the staff, good and prompt service. I had the Stir Fried Beef with noodles - very filling - can come with chilli, but as beef is marinated, you won't need it _ ordered it without, and enjoyed it more than those who had it with. Desert and coffee deal for $6.00 (Coffee was pretty good too) and a drink all for $38.00! - Beerdrinkers, make sure you stipulate you want a stubbie other wie you will get a pint by default. Very good meal all up.

The Como Hotel won B and I over in regards to great food and a lovely beer garden atmosphere. We had no complaints and we’ll definitely be back again for another lazy Sunday lunch. On Sunday afternoons in the beer garden they offer live music and lunch specials. B and I definitely recommend going to The Como Hotel for reasonably priced food and drinks, in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.

Won't bother again :-(. Went to the Como today with my hubby for lunch and what a disappointment. We ordered a simple fish and chips with salad and a a 'Wednesday Threesome', rump (medium well) with garlic prawns, chips & salad, and a beer. to start with the fish batter needed the steak knife to saw through, the chips were cold, and i don't mean not hot but COLD! The salad had what can only be described as dehydrated green capsicum. I would seriously like to know how they can justify charging $21.50 for what is obviously below fish and chip shop quality? Meanwhile the rump steak came out well, well done (there was no medium about it!) and the chips were mediocre hot. How can two plates bearing chips be so different??? Will not bother entering the doors of this pub again!

Solid Pub Meal. Went down to the Como for the first time, I was suprised how nice it was out the back! Ordered the Wagyu Burger with all the extras, the only issue I had with it was it was too much to eat without going everywhere...and If thats the only problem our table of 8 had then they definately have done well. We've been going to the Como for years and unfortunately it's hit and miss for the food and service which is good or bad proportionate with how busy they are. When they're good the food is well prepared, tasty and pretty good for pub grub and the service is attentive and quick. But when they're busy it's like you've stumbled into somewhere completely the opposite, we've had to flag down staff after 30 mins of inattention after arriving, we order known favorites that on a quiet night are delicious only to have them arrive only reasonably palatable. My advice, go on a quiet weeknight (not Friday) to see the best of the Como.

We ordered the special Crab & Barramundi. Food and sauces were awesome. I don't like asparagus but the way these spears were cooked was fantastic. We also had the Pork loin special with apple sultanas and a array of other fruits that comes cooked with the dish, great place to eat... great food... Just one thing let the place down. We said to two different wait staff that we wanted to order desserts... I was really looking forward to tucking into the Banana Caramel Log thing..... we even hung around about an hour after we had eaten.... We had the table closest to the register so we were right under their noses.... after an hour we decided to go home... the food we ordered was great, the service we initially got was great, it was the let down with asking twice for desserts and no one coming to take our order that let the dining experience down. Other than that... get in and there and have some good food. They are in the Entertainment Book as well.

My order came out there was suace all over the meal (im lactose intolerant, my dinner buddies wanted the sauce), so I asked again for my meal to have sauce on the side. They promised my meal would be out in 10 minutes. No meal arrived, we asked what happened and they told us they forgot. By this time my buddies had finished their meals and to be honest I was over it. They offered my a drink. I took a glass of wine. It came to paying the bill and there on the check was my surf and turf! after all that they tried to charge us for it. Once, twice, three times a cock up!!!

Have eaten at the como hotel,all three generations, we love how "the pub" has evolved over the years but for the last four meals, well, curry lamb with no lamb, beef cooked to leather!!!!! unfortunately for the current chef we are the worst critics, PRIMARY PRODUCERS and unfortunately for the current owners so many of us support your pub, we school our children in your suburbs , we shop and love to eat out in SouthPerth for our breaks, but guess what Id rather eat off our BBQ at the farm, value for money....Oh coleslaw was fresh, rah, rah we only have vegis delivered to our town on Tuesdays, so fresh is from the garden or dressed best ourselves. Tough as Boots. Party of seven on a Monday night to get together in a central location. One person serving drinks on the double sided main bar was not a good start. The usual wait to be seen, then looked over for a young twenty something in a short dress to order her vodka lime and soda despite having not waited more than twenty seconds. Could only get better! Order garlic bread, bruschetta and dips for starters. They all arrived at different times over a ten minute period. Then confusion over extra bread which came and then went, and then came back like a boomerang. Onto the mains - three of us ordered the steak. Mine was cooked to order however this was not so for two my associates. What was common to all was the lack of tenderness of the porterhouse steaks. I am sure they were bought from the budget range at the Spud Shed in Jandakot. The wife received her garlic prawns and salad complete with two stickers with the day and date of the squid in her salad. This was brought to the attention of the waitress who didn't say anything but gave a bit of a huff. Next time we will be back to the Windsor or to a restaurant that offers some attention to detail, service and does not serve up budget meat at restaurant prices.

All I would say you need to move the waiting staff into the kitchen as the only highlight of the evening was their service as opposed to the "chefs" efforts We had snapper which was dry served with gluggy rice & stir fried coleslaw desribed on the menu as stir fried asian vegetables. Our other meal was "chicken" parmagiana which was bland & the jury is still out on the actual protein we were forcing ourselves to eat. If we had not been so hungry we would have left a lot more than a third of the meal

Okay. The vibe of the place on a Saturday evening was nice. I liked the look of the place and staff were friendly. I ordered the lamb shank and to me the rosemary and jus sauce overpowered the dish - too much sauce. The lamb shank was cooked the way I like it and the mash pototoes was delish, I could have eaten more of it though.

Nine lives used up. I keep coming back here because friends decide it's a great place to have a function. It is not. The definition of madness is to do the same thing and expect a different result. I must be nuts to have given The Como so many chances. The menu is uninspired and the food that eventually comes out of the kitchen even less so. Everything I've sampled is most definitely over priced for what it is. I've been here for lunch and waited approx half an hour each time for my meal. On my recent visit, I waited well over an hour for my dinner. Unacceptable. And don't bother ordering one of the five cocktails on offer unless you want to stand at the bar long enough to be considered an alcoholic. Birthday boy ordered stuffed chicken just one order in front of me (I was next in line). Yet he'd had his meal for 20+ minutes, attempted to eat it and then written it off as rubbish all before I'd even seen mine. The chicken was okay, but only just. I don't know where the stuffing was, perhaps I couldn't see it in the dim lighting, but I should've been able to taste it. I'd rate my meal 2.5 stars only because I was hungry. I'd even had another go at my garlic bread which had gone stone cold during the wait for my main. In fact, the 2 pieces I didn't eat ended up going to various hungry table companions, all in their stone cold state. Onto their service. Where to start? My friend booked 3 tables for a total of 30 people. After our intros and browsing the menu, we lined up to order around 8pm. Yes, that's right, we line up like cattle in the middle of the dining area. I would not like to be one of the tables that has the line standing right beside them. Half of our group were unfortunate enough to put our orders in and have our money taken. Why unfortunate? Because over an hour later when the tree foliage was starting to look appealing, we were still waiting. The remaining half were told that the kitchen was at capacity and no more orders would be taken. Why take a booking for 30 ppl if you don't have the staff to accommodate their orders along with your usual crowd? The young girl serving meals to the courtyard may have been new - she was obviously flustered and totally inept. I think I saw her serve one meal to the right person, everything else she had to take inside before coming out for another go. I would feel sorry for her, perhaps she didn't get appropriate training, except she snapped at us when we tried to help her. So she can cop the criticism. If a friendly smile and query "Is that reef & beef? Because that old guy over there is chasing one" is just provocation to yell "It's not yours, ok? This isn't your food, it isn't anyone's food" and stomp off, perhaps waiting on tables isn't for you. Go a bit further down the highway to Clancy's. Quality pub food, interesting menu, great service.

Only ok. Went to the Como on a Friday night. The service was really good, but the food isn't worth the price. I had the veggie pizza and it was really greasy, way too much cheese and very heavy. The mediterranean veggies weren't identifiable from each other, and there was no feta cheese despite it being listed as a topping. My date had the chicken wellington, and the pastry was burnt. So much so, it really shouldn't have been served. Overall, it wasn't a terrible dinner, but I definately won't be eating there again in a hurry.

Cruising the pubs Perth has to offer, I would say The Como Hotel is an average casual hang out. The place is fairly relaxed, and unfortunately the staff are too... which may take you a while to get a beer if ya thirsty. If ya thinkin a snack of hot chips... I wouldnt bother... the simplest of pub foods are straight from a frozen packet to the deep fryer, served with a cheap mayonnaise with crushed garlic they like to call aoli. The live acoustic band was pleasant entertainment value.

I been to Como Hotel for few times and I begin to like it,,, perth beach hotels is my next destination I hope I find the same service as Como hotel has.

Not great but ok. Even for pub food the new menu is not cooked well. Meat should not be grey. However the vego dish was really good. I felt sorry of for the waiters who were really under staffed but in the end the service was OK considering. Drinks take way to long to come from the bar. Just go and get them your self. Good live music as well. Overall OK ALH pubs all feel the same anyway

After these years, still a winner. This has been a place I've ventured to over the past 10 or so years and have to say, it's consistent and still delivers decent food for a reasonable price (it's in the ent. bk). Where as similar style places (I think they are all owned by Woolworths?) such as the Foundry, which have dropped in standard considerably, the Como is able to accomodate large groups of people with pretty good service. It's menu has changed a few times and is a little smaller than in the past but the obvious choices are still there. They offer daily specials too which are good value and decent beers to accompany your meal. For a group of 6, all meals came out on time and the waiter came just after we'd sampled our meals to check everything was ok. I like this place and the decor is cool and relaxed. You can be seated in or outdoors and it's always got cool tunes playing in the background - good ambience. Go here and you'll be satisfied.

Casual hangout. The Como is still great, the food is well priced to compliment the drinks. They offer week nights specials which are great for the family!

Steak night on a Wednesday is when we usually go. $12.90 steaks and lots of specials which I usually like. Desserts are very nice to. Only problem is it's overpriced. Eg 11.50 for a dessert

❗️ H I G H L Y• R E C O M M E N D E D ❗️ we have seen this place many times now and have always wanted to go(for years) and we finally went Let me start by saying that from the moment we walked in the staff were all friendly and we sat ourselves down and had a look at the menu The menu and the prices are super reasonable. We ordered within ten minutes and went with Potato wedges 🍟 Salt and pepper squid 🦑 Moroccan lamb ribs Rocky road cake 🍰 The potato wedges were delicious and the serving was generous. Such a crispy and delicious delight and it was served with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce (9/10) Moroccan lamb ribs: WHERE DO I START?!?!? this was absolutely delicious and the flavour profile was just absolutely divine 😍 eating this was an absolute pleasure and I would highly recommend this. The ribs were a little chewy and fatty but besides that PERFECT (9/10) Salt and Pepper Squid: This was pretty good as well and the only thing I would say it i would have loved to it to be crispy on the outside as it was a little soggy. I would rate this 6/10) Rocky Road Cake: I am going to keep this short and sweet. This was delicious. Would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back to try more of the desserts. overall the experience here was an absolute delight and we will definitely be back and definitely will recommend this place ♥️ thank you to the staff for having us!
