Blue Flame Restaurant

I was looking for a place to dine after leaving Triple B & pleasantly stumbled upon Blue Flame. I honestly chose it because the picture of their fries looked good & they didn’t disappoint. Location is great, along the way back to the heart of Pittsburgh, great fresh fries, and a very well-dressed side salad. My husband ordered the chicken tenders & they were fresh-dropped & flavourful too. I took a slice of pumpkin pie to go and it was huge for the price with a generous side of dense whipped cream. I felt very comfortable dining there with their layout allowing for safe distance. I only give 4 stars because the menu didn’t have the most options, but it looked like their ice cream and pies were the main attraction. I would go here before Eat & Park, frankly. I’ll definitely be back to try a few flavours :)

Would have been a 5, but the menu didn't list the Philly cheese steak as having tomatoes and lettuce. Of it had, I would have requested none, like I did with the peppers. It still was a good meal, but had to spend extra time scraping the veggies from it. My son thoroughly enjoyed his ham and cheese sandwich. With these times, I prefer to support local restaurants, seeing as the chains will obviously survive. Please, keep local businesses in mind, and tip well. They lost a lot of income recently
