Lovely little place, and I'm sure it would have been fine if I got anything else, but the chai tasted of nothing. I asked about sugar, and she happily told me they use leaves instead of syrup. They just put the tea leaves in hot water for a few minutes. I didn't have the heart to tell her you cannot make chai that way. It was warm and caffeinated, which was all I really needed. So I would recommend this place as a nice one to sit and have some sort of regular tea.

I’ve been visiting the shop ever since it opened.
Over the years the service, quality, products and all other aspects (of a business in the food industry) has done nothing but keep on improving.
Whether you want a place to relax on your own or socialise with your friends over a cup of tea and food; Tea Traders offers a fantastic atmosphere complimented by the customer service, hospitality and quality they offer.

The afternoon tea for 2 was absolutely perfect! Atmosphere was lovely and the staff were so friendly. I chose the lavender earl grey for my tea and bought a pack to take home with me. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience 💗

Always a fantastic welcome at this award winning tea shop. An amazing selection of teas and a great choice on the menu. The mushroom and tomato pastry was delicious. A lovely location in the centre of Carmarthen with outside seating to watch the world go by.

Lovely friendly folk, always a plant based option. - chocolate torte is melt in the mouth awesome! And fantastic array of teas and tea making equipment. Dog friendly outside.

Popped in here for a bite to eat, service was excellent, food fantastic, prices keen. Came away with the tea's we had with our lunch (no hard selling, our own choice) when we are next in Carmarthen we will definitely go again. Highly recommend Teatraders for a light bite, afternoon tea etc.

Lovely place with a huge variety of different tea and tasty cakes. The staff are lovely and that makes all the difference to the visit. Good central location

Excellent place for a proper cuppa! Huge range of teas, expertly prepared and served in special pots with extra water and an egg timer fir perfect timing. Great knowledgeable staff & friendly....and if you buy a packet of their tea - your drink is free. Wonderful.

What a lovely restaurant/cafe. The menu was excellent with a broad variety to choose from for both food and drinks. We had non alcoholic drinks and it was refreshing to have a variety of options to choose from than basic juice or soft drink. A 5/5 for food, service and location. I will for sure be back in the summer when I am back in Wales with a hat so I can sit in the lovely sun ☺️

We visit Carmarthen about three times a year and always try somewhere new for a cuppa.
We tried tea traders and weren't disappointed, massive selection of teas and varied menu. I went for Welsh breakfast tea and teacake while hubby had cherry Bakewell cake.
Loved the timer for a proper brew!!
Staff were patient and friendly and reasonably priced.
Accessible for anyone with mobility issues and seating available outside. Toilets are situated down a flight of stairs!
Recommended if you're in the area!!
