I used to love this restaurant. Beautiful, elevated Thai cuisine with great service. The service on our last visit was good but some of the wait staff unfortunately lacked attention to detail. Noting we were a party of five, we ended up with several different dishes that came in serving sizes of four. At no point did the waitstaff think to recommend that we maybe double the portions so everybody could sample each dish. Needless to say, some of us missed out on sampling. Also, with share plates, to serve mains at $60 a pop with 4 thumb sized batons of fish is not amazing. We are all foodies including our friend visiting from London and know restaurants have done it tough. But this wasn’t a post pandemic business model change - this was simply taking the customer for granted :-( I hope the restaurant takes this review on board and implements some changes - until then, I will not be going back.

I went to Morks for dinner with a friend the other night, and was looking forward to being mistreated for rocking up with no booking and hefty dietary requirements. Unfortunately, the staff were absolutely incredible, mixing friendly and professional. Equally saddening was that each course of the tasting menu was absolutely delicious, and the cocktails we were suggested were lovely and well chosen. Looks like I'll need to find something else to complain about. Thanks to all the staff for a great night

Yes takeout! What I loved was how fresh everything was. Pork buns were perfect. Chicken was crispy and delicately spiced. Fried eggplant with plum sauce and greens was a favourite. Even the fried rice was the best I’ve had. So well done Morks team in these tough times. Highly recommended.

Very tasty but I just spent $95 for a tasting menu, I’ve had $2 noodles that were more filling. Left the restaurant hungry. Don’t fall for the same trap of spending $95 pp for a tasting menu. Big mistake

Omg this place is the bomb! My second time visiting from Sydney and just as impressive if not more than the last from the smoked Hapuku on brioche to the cauliflower potato Haloumi curry everything was delicious! And don’t even get me started on the roti! Flakey deliciousness! You can tell a lot about a place by the effort they put into their roti! Service was also excellent Thank you Morks for a great night out in Canberra

Morks had been recommended to us and this often makes me a bit nervous. Not in the least that the restaurant may not live up to expectations, but then the duty to inform ones friend of this. Happily, Morks restaurant not only lived up to its recommendation - it greatly exceeded it. Singularly, it one of the best dining experiences I've had. Full stop. Not had this year, or in years, but had - ever. It was brilliant. We decided on the sample, or degustation, menu and Morks delivered in style. There were nine sample courses and each was exquisite with balance between flair and taste. The waiting staff were wonderful and allowed time between courses for conversation. Two of our party had dietary needs, which this was understood and communicated to the Chef. They modified two of their courses accordingly, but with that wonderful sensation for the palate. When I left the restaurant, I wondered why Morks *only* had one hat award -- and I suspect this situation will soon be rectified with the appropriate two hats it deserves. It is exemplified by one dish in particular -- the duck. On tasting this, my mind brought up memories of my youth living in South-East Asia. It was akin to the scene in Pixar's film, Ratatouille, where the critic is whisked to his childhood a dish's taste and smell. That experience, although fleeting, was vivid and made me smile and reminisce. Yet even without this, the dishes, staff and restaurant are superb. I highly recommend booking for a night's treat.

The food was alright. I think they have overdone the garnish as it felt like a coriander plus mint salad in every dish. The soft shell crab was good and very crunchy. The eggplant was also very crispy and tasted good. The 12 hour beef short rib is really good though and flavours blend. The fried rice was nothing special. Service was top and felt accommodated instantly.

The food is a little spicy but very delicious! Edit- came back here for a second time! The entrees were a little pricey, and okay but the fried icecream, lamb Curry & the beef short rib were amazing! Must try!
