Van Leeuwen Brooklyn

Came here during a heatwave and to treat my bf who was visiting NY and trying Van Leeuwenhoek Ice cream for the first time! Joseph and Tara are so adorable, they had the best energy, the best smiles and we chopped it up about my favorite flavors! Thank you for being so sweet and having the best customer service.

Absolutely the best non-dairy/vegan ice cream and regular ice cream - cookies, shakes, hot chocolate and waffle cones! Love Van Leeuwen! 💕 This particular VL is tiny so it gets pretty full and hard to get by when there’s a line. Great staff, clean place. All the flavors are labeled with allergies as well. Apple Pay accepted, no cash.

Good ice cream, the flavor selection was decent. It was my first time at Van Leeuwens and the line was out the door. The line did move pretty fast though. This was also a small location, despite it being super crowded the staff was still very nice and patient offered samples and suggestions. It's very nice that this ice cream shop is open pretty late.

I used to really liked their vegan ice cream but this time it wasn’t great. Very very “bulky” and “dry” (if you can say that on ice cream), and I thought that they were cheap on the whipped cream (which I paid extra for $0.5 for). My friend got the non vegan ice cream and it tasted much better. They’re very good in letting you know about food allergies and intolerances. Everything is well marked (gluten , etc…). The place was packed on fried at night and there was only one guy serving (he was very nice and sweet and didn’t get stress at all by all the people).
