Couldn't find anywhere to eat in Brixham being a busy time of year, ordered a takeaway from Ayur, on pickup the owner was lovley, and the food we had was top notch! Would definitely recommend!!

Really great food and such a lovely host!
We paid £54 for a shared starter (masala dosa) and a veggie curry and a chicken curry for mains with two drinks each, which is pretty good value!
Had a lovely, un-hurried time and we will be visiting again!

Brixham is lucky to have this restaurant. It serves delicious South Indian food; which is a completely different taste to your usual Indian cuisine. It's absolutely gorgeous! Tucked away above Fore Street it has a great atmosphere; with very friendly owners. Definitely check this place out!

Amazing food. First time having a dosa ( we had beef) and wow!!!!! Hearty portions. Wonderful friendly staff! You have to try AYUR !

Found this wonderful little restaurant by searching online and reading the reviews and so glad we did. Others have described it as a hidden gem and that's so right. The restaurant is on the first floor so there's nothing to see from the street except a black canopy over the doorway so there's no real clue about the delights within.
Entirely run and staffed by the couple who own it, their friendly welcome and passion for southern Indian food make this a special place. They live "over the shop" and liken the experience to welcoming people into their home. But make no mistake, amateurish they are not!
This is regional Indian food of the highest order. Just don't go there expecting the typical "Indian curry house" menu or you will be disappointed. The menu is relatively short but very tempting and we thoroughly enjoyed everything we had. Lesley will happily guide you through if you want some assistance and nothing seemed too much trouble.

What a great find in Brixham! Really tasty southern Indian food. All our meals were delicious with good intense spicing - but not too hot. The dosas were a big hit with the kids.

Had a fantastic meal last night, loads of flavour and very different to other Indian food I have had before. I will be telling all my friends and family to check it out and look forward to going again.
