Went here to see a good friend for dinner. The calamari appetizer was good and the mushrooms were too. I had the 16 layer lasagna and it was also good. I wish I could give 5 stars but our server seemed to be pulled in many directions and we went for long periods without seeing her. I am sure if the restaurant was staffed better this would not be an issue. All in all everything was good and we had an enjoyable dinner.

The food came out looking great. But didn't taste nowhere near what I was expecting. First and last visit here.

Good selection of food, adequately priced and cooked well. Inside atmosphere is very nice. Wait staff is always nice and has handled our large group events with ease. This rating would be a 5; except for the fact that curb-side service is below par. Many times they have forgotten the extras we order and many times they present themselves in a less than excited manner. Ample parking, convenient location and can be busy during peak hours and weekends.

Good decor. Food is average. They do not have any vegetarian/vegan options readily on the menu. The complimentary bread is perfectly crisp outside and soft inside. The accompanying olive oil is light and flavorful with herbs and spices. The salads are drenched with dressing, but use romaine and not iceberg. The pastas fall apart as if they’ve been cooked too long. The sauces taste great. They have a full bar and several draft beers and wines from which to choose. The service was good, but not great. The men’s restroom was disgusting, and was in need of service.

i love this place!! it’s very underrated, always happy with my meal whenever we come here for a date night. they give you tons of food, the lasagna is the best we’ve ever had, and you HAVE to try the italian frozen margaritas!! and i crave their bread and oil all the time! we prefer this over olive garden :)

I hate to be mean, but this is not a place that offers authentic Italian food. The chicken Alfredo was bland and I honestly would have preferred jarred Alfredo sauce over what was served with the dish. It had small chicken pieces and they tasted sour to me. The lasagna was very dry as well. Italian joints should make their own pasta too, but Johnny Carino's does not. Also, they no longer offer gluten-free options because it was too difficult for the staff to manage and keep separate from the regular pastas. That's just pure laziness and a disservice to gluten-free customers. If you want better quality Italian food then go check out Cello Italian Restaurant in Howell. It's well worth it!

Always one of the best places for Italian. Great selection of wine (they have a Malbec, which is my fave) and I've never had a bad meal. The bread is amazing. There is one pasta dish, that I don't remember the name of, that I wasn't a fan of, because it had feta or gorgonzola on it. But who knows, it might not even be on the menu anymore.

The bread wasn't cut and not served with a bread knife, the food took about 40 minutes and when the waitress brought it out you could tell it had been under a heat lamp for at least 10 minutes. Everything was dried out. My steak was crunchy on the outside and my wife couldn't even eat her sausage on her pasta. This is the first time we have eaten here and the last. I have never gone out to eat and had the food be such poor quality that we didnt even take it home.
Also I want to mention I have never felt the need to review a restaurant before, so this a first for me. It was that bad.
