First day over from USA and because it was Monday very few Fish and chips shops were open. We found the Pokesdown chippy and it was amazing we had Cod and Chips and Haddock and chips and believe me they were amazing. Cooked very well and the portions were a good size.Well done sir we will be back before we head up north

I have never been so unbelievably amazed at how fresh and tasty food could be from a chip shop. The food here is always cooked with the best quality produce, never taste greasy and the service is above and beyond any place I’ve had a takeaway. These guys are absolutely fantastic and so friendly. I would not order from anywhere else ☺️

Ordered via just eat...wrong order was delivered, I was told I could keep more expensive order but it was things I would not eat.
Just eat would not give me a refund as driver marked as delivered. Today I phoned Pokesdown Chippy direct and a totally charming gentleman sorted the problem with Just Eats, and my refund is on its way...
Brilliant service...as well as the best fish and chips xx

Very good fish and chips, freshly cooked and good sized portions, even the small was plenty for us. The owner is very friendly and the service was good. Would definitely visit again if we stay in the area.
